I had a fold 4, moved to flip 5 and now 6. I love it to bits! I also have a rog phone that I used the other day all day, I missed the flip! The fit in one's pocket is huge hehe

I’m 72. So when I happily leapt from Apple to the Flip 4 I was used to opening and closing the case having longed for another flip phone to come out. I upgraded to the 5 and was tempted by the 6 for a few reasons, one of which you skipped over, namely the vapor chamber that’s supposed to keep the phone cooler. Otherwise, the extra rem, larger battery and slightly improved camera made it tempting. But since I’m probably too old to notice a difference in practical use over the benchmark stuff, I’m staying put for now. Perhaps I should mention the crease never bothered me. I understand it annoys some people from the get go. It’s also supposed to be improved with each new iteration.

i am definitely happy with the Z Flip 6….i have it as my secondary device. it replaced my Pixel 8 Pro. i had a Z Flip 3 before and missed those phones. it’s so cool. i would try and make it my daily driver, but i’m so entrenched into Apple’s ecosystem. but, when i’m home….i find myself using the Z Flip 6 more. phones like this are so different and in a world of the same candy bar like phones….these phones are refreshing.

Love the design of this. Think it looks super. As an iPhone user though, not sure I could make the switch. Not because I think android is worse vs Apple, it’s just that by this stage (after so many years) I’m too far into the Apple ecosystem. Don’t want to have to go around replacing all my gadgets. The iPhone is essentially the same every year. They’ve perfected the form factor so never looks any different really. I love how this stands out from the majority of the glass slabs we get these days. This is some proper innovation from Samsung.

The cover screen has a 60 hz refresh rate, not 120. IP 48 means water resistant up to 1.5 meter (the 8 in 48) and dust resistant for particles up to 1 mm in diameter (= 4 in 48)

I love the idea of the flip. Having a full size phone in such a small form factor. Just not sure I could give up my 5x zoom…. Still got a year on my current handset anyway, so let’s see what the Flip 7 brings. As this feels more like the minor upgrade in the usual tic-toc pattern, hopefully next year will be a more substantial change

Same, I’d miss the zoom too on my 15PM. But if the flip 7 gets a full cover screen, telephoto lens and better night time mode for pics I’ll def jump on the Flip wagon 🥳

That case reminds me of Pitaka. It looks to even be made by the same materials, and just as thin. Hmmm.. Well, I don't have a ZedFlip6, but I did get my daughter 1. That case looks interesting.

I have one coming tomorrow, paid extra to get a black one direct from Samsung though they are discounting the 512mb to $1099; curiously, they haven't dropped the price for the 256mb, it's still $1099, too. The 512 is on sale on Amazon for $949 but the black, white & peach are only available from Samsung.

Has anyone owned the previous models Z4 or Z5? Did you experience any issues with the screen cracking? like most videos on KZbin and TikTok are showing.

I was a Note person for many years but the Z Flip 5 got me hooked and i knew the 6 would have the serious camera upgrade (im a professional photographer) and the 6 is great and to be seriously concerned by the current batch of foldable shoppers. (Optical zoom next year)

I'm aaalmost a Samsung Knight, but I just don't like the Z Flip. The outer display totally destroys it, and that's why I prefer the Moto RAZR 50 Ultra (razr+). That 4" front display just smashes the Flip6 in both size and with hrtz. Short said, the RAZR is a better device😎 I could not have used any flip phone as my main device, but I always carry 2-4 phones so... 🤘 From Norway 🇧🇻

Great video! The biggest thing for me going Zed 5 to Zed 6...is the crease, it's a lot less of an eyesore. I notice the ram difference a fair bit too.

It's hard for me to think of giving up the sed 24 Ultron for a zed flip 6 Plus like others have said no dex is a deal breaker for me because I actually use it a lot

I have an S22. I am a Samsung lover. Mostly use the phone for normal use - text/phone/social media watching (I don't create much content). I do love the camera on the S22 and take tons of photos and videos of everyday life (again, not really a content creator). Anyone have any advise for me - upgrade to Z Flip 6 or just the S24+? I have never had a flip. Only reason I fancy the Z Flip is the cool new flip, size of carrying it around, and with my carrier I can get the 512GB option where the other Galaxys are only available in 128 or the S24+ in 258. I have 258GB in my S22 now and running out of storage (take a lot of photos and videos and am a hoarder) so extra storage is a plus for me.

The upcoming iPhone 16 Pro is expected to be priced similarly to the Flip 6, but it’s likely to retain its value much better. In my opinion, there’s no compelling reason to buy the Flip 6 over the iPhone, especially if you don’t already own an iPhone. The Flip 6 has managed to carve out a small niche in the smartphone industry, but it doesn’t stand out from its competitors. Its target audience is likely to be loyal fans, and it offers a solid upgrade for those who live in this world. However, I’m not convinced that it has moved the goalposts enough to maintain the expected growth rates. Additionally, the hype surrounding the foldable phone taking over the industry seems a long way off.

"you charge it over night , does that even matter ", you know that batteries have limited charge cycles and the more you recharge the faster it degrades? also my iPhone 11 has 3000mah battery and it holds almost twice as long as the flip6 with 4000mah battery.

I went from an iPhone 15 pro max(256gb) and an apple watch 9(45mm) to a Z flip 6(256gb) in black and a Samsung watch 7(44mm) green.No regrets so far and I'm quite surprised how good the 2X and 4X zoom crops are.I just hope it holds up to usage I still can't get my head around bendable glass doesn't seem durable long term.Time will tell.Apple products are dependable but boring and suit older people more like pensioners

You can indeed, but it requires several practice runs and lots of faith in your ability to keep a hold of that phone.

I think eventually they will, they are just trying to study Samsung so they won’t do the same mistake, study what people don’t like about it, that way they will have the best flip phones in the market. Just my guess lol

I highly doubt that Samsung.. actual Samsung in Korea says Zed instead of "Z", considering I've been to Korea, lived there for a year and have Korean friends I still keep in touch with from Korea and Not one times speaking English with any Korean did they ever say Zed instead of "Z" unless they were raised in EU instead of Korea.

@@MissSmurfey The Camera is pretty good. I like it. I don't really need to use the 200M on the Ultra when I had that phone. The pictures come out just as the same as the Ultra, I think it's Z Flip 6 is really cool. I only had it for about 4 days so far. I love it.

Yeah the lack of optical zoom kills it. I’ll keep my 15PM till the flip gets a telephoto lens then I’ll def switch ships.
