James Traynor Nice I loved that phone. I kept mine for quite sometime and my note 7 was still changing to 100% even. I blocked all updates. Sprint messed up and sent me 2 note 7 and never asked for the extra one back. So I kept it. So I never paid for the second one they gave me. The only reason I gave this one back to Samsung was because they gave $1000 for my note 7.

They have budget phones as well... Problem is people don't want the budget phones. Set a weekly goal to save if it's that important to you. Apple has been making overpriced phones longer, and nobody complains. At least the Samsung phones have features. I was surprised to get a charger... Thats what I complain about. They want to take the chargers, and I didn't get headphones.

Actually if you install the Good Lock App of Samsung's from the Galaxy Store, you would be able to force Instagram or any other app to support Spilt Screen

I think you're wrong. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 is worth every penny. Hellooo!!!....You are basically getting a smartphone, tablet and computer in one. Right now I basically do everything on my smartphone. It has a typical screen but you get used to it but I always wished for a smartphone that turns into a tablet since I've never owned a tablet myself. I never wanted to walk with a smartphone and a separate tablet since I do most of my work or other stuff on my smartphone. Todays smartphone are basically mini computers. I own a Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus and it still works as the day I got it. Maybe even better with the updates. Now Samsung has given you the chance to basically have a pocket mini computer with a foldable screen and 120hz refresh rate. Mind blowing, innovative and incredible. Fyi....I already pre-ordered mine from Bestbuy and added a 2 year extended Warranty. Like I said in the beginning, worth every penny.

@@LinuxAndroid86 I mean I'm not a photographer, famous Instagramer or KZbinr and I do not work for a magazine company so the photos that I get through these cameras are only important to me but either way, the photo quality you get with the phone's cameras are still excellent. I'm still getting great photo quality from my Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus so this is basically a mayor upgrade. Regarding a S Pen, well I've never been a Note phone user. Not my thing. I would probably loose the pen but I still get the appeal. I wouldn't mind getting a pen. This is still not a deal breaker for me. It might be for someone who uses pens constantly or prefers the Note line.

Got mine yesterday in mystic black. The back is a mirror like glass finish which I had no idea at the time of ordering. I was hoping it would be the same matte finish as the mystic bronze, but oh well..i can live with it. The heft and feel of the device screams premium. Throwing in my two cents, i really like it! Using it as GPS nav..and seeing it on the big screen is a treat! I used the Kenu airframe magnetic vent mount and it works really well. As far as apps like instagram not using the full screen...(im sure someone has mentioned it) dl Good Lock app, -go to Multi-star, then Fold-star and change aspect ratio of the app.

It depends why you need an ipad. If you are an artist and you need a pen, fold 2 is not the best solution. If you want it for media consumption, fold is just miles better.

However whilst I have a tablet in the house for my daughter, I never use it and use my phone since that's what is with me on the sofa. So yes, fold wins but the price is so so steep vs buying a budget ipad. Also ipad has better tablet optimised apps now vs android. I have no need for pen, but the ipad does give you that (expensive) option

I have the Z Fold 2 and absolutely love it. It is the phone of my dreams and I love the big screen. Its exciting to use and it feels very luxurious in the hand. I rarely notice the crease, I worried about battery life but its doing better screen on time than my S20 Ultra despite it having a smaller battery & powering 2 screens! There's so much to love about this, I better start saving now for next year because I can honestly say I do not want to go back to the traditional slab of glass.

@@MDRashid0509 I'd always had Notes, S20 Ultra didn't seem to have the same polish that the Notes had, never have I missed a phone having bought a new one but I did my Note 10 Plus. Specifically many apps froze multiple times a day which drove me nuts, & I was surprised that I missed the squared off corners of the screen so much, it just wasn't a pleasure to use like my Notes had been. I had been attracted to the concept of the Fold last year but the small outside screen was a turn off & I'd also not saved as much as I was planning on buying Note 10 Plus, I buy one a year so this year buying 2 is a first. I am loving the Z Fold 2, for the first time in years I was super excited about getting it and I'm still super excited using it. Being in the UK this is my first Samsung phone with a Snapdragon & in comparison with the S20 Ultra when I first started to use the Z Fold 2 you could really tell, its much snappier which I quickly got used to. I use my phone for almost everything, I have other tech but hardly use them, so the bigger the screen the better for me. I can't see my buying anything other than a Z Fold in the future.

I just got this device and really like that I can fold it out to watch the many types of videos my next step is to try it for gaming and I'm still a little iffy about it but the one thing that I have notice is that it seems faster than my note 20 ultra. I was a little disappointed on how my note 20 ultra responds and doesn't feel as fast as my previous pixel 4XL. I'm also looking into multitasking with budgeting using excel, calculator and notes but thats till the end of the month.

I was thinking of making review videos but unsure yet, I don't have the equipment or room to edit videos etc. and I try to resell all last year's to get the next one but only if I like the device. Instagram is a poor platform citizen. 10 years later and they still do not make an iPad app, they haven’t done much to make the experience good on many popular Android phones, they purposefully don’t support OS level features such as split screen, and they seem to want nothing to do with foldable and dual screen phones. I respect companies like Netflix. The app is available everywhere, and it is generally a good platform citizen, supporting the feature set of the platform.

I just purchased the Note 20 Ultra last month on pre-order. Been using it since August 18th and I luv it! But I'd consider buying this one also. Make the Note 20 my daily phone but use the Z Fold 2 on those special occasions when I want to be showy or just need a tablet expirence. That being said, I don't need or want a 2nd line of service. I'm with Verizon and was hoping that I could just swap the sim card between the two devices. Will this idea work? Any feedback is appreciated.

I got my 'Z' day before yesterday and it is great with some reservations. First, when it is folded it is thick. This is expected with a folding phone so if you don't like 'thick' don't get it. Second, it is heavy. These make it uncomfortable when handling. I've noticed this especially when I'm holding it to my ear for an extended period of time. Yesterday, after one day of use I was seriously thinking of returning it, but today, after a second day of use I think I'm going to keep it. The large fold out display is hard to beat! Overall I am happy with it but there is some room for improvement. 8 out of 10.

Fold 2 is ₹1.5 Lakhs in India, actually much cheaper than the ₹1.75 Lakh 1st gen fold when it was launched. Another 25000 price cut & few more improvements in the next yr model and I’m sold hands down. Fold 3 will be my phone (currently s10+ user)

Watching this on the Galaxy Fold & I was thinking about moving forward towards this, but it seems to not have that many more features than I have. I need to address the pricing issue every reviewer constantly talks about. If your with AT&T or Verizon, you can get that on a plan & pay on it with your bill (kind of like a rent-to-own type of deal). If someone is looking to pay all out, this is still truly a pay to play type of phone. However most flagship phones range from around $1,000 to $1,500 anyway & what your essentially getting is 2 devices in one form factor. Samsung listened to the complaints about the front display being a little small, so they changed it......... now it's still narrow? What did you think it would look like? Some note series or S series size phone? Harping on the front display being too narrow tells me you don't understand the real purpose of this type of foldable.

There is one major bug that Samsung didn't fix. When I got my Fold 1st gen, I've noticed that if I used the outter screen and switch to the inner one, the phone resolution is set at 720p and not 1080p. Same with video, if you watch youtube on the outter screen and then switch to the one inside, the resolution stucks at 720p and there's no option to watch it in 1080p or 1440p. Samsung should fix this bug. Got my z fold 2 yesterday and the bug was still there. Also notice even at 60hz, the outter screen of the fold 1 runs smoother than the outter screen on the fold 2.

If you think of it as a high end small tablet and a full spec'd flagship smartphone, the price is a little more justified. I mean an ipad mini currently sales for $400 to $600 depending on storage and the S20 series $1k plus. Add a few hundred more for the "early adopter fee" and one can kind of justify the cost.

Man I love this fold 2. It feels so much premium than the first fold. The hinge and unfolding is so smooth and fluid. The mystic bronze is a beautiful color way. I find myself using the front screen more often so simpler tasks, and I like that because it saves me more battery. This phone is a WIN WIN WIN WIN 🙌

DeX *needs* to be available on the Fold itself without needing an external display, just like how DeX on the Tab works. Imagine having your Fold in your pocket and a small Bluetooth keyboard in your bag. Unfold, grab the keyboard, and you have a laptop. You don't even need an external keyboard for that matter - in a punch, DeX has a software keyboard on screen.

Wild, every other tech reviewer is racing about the fold 2 and how good it's cameras are and how nice and improved it is this year. I actually think for once the price is justified. If you think about it yes note 20 has the S-pen but majority don't use that honestly and with the zfold2 you get so much phone on both outside and inside and the hinge. My only complaint so to say would be they should have put Ultra 108mp camera on it and Included case again.

The Innovation is great on this Fold 2 but nobody is talking about the cameras? 2X zoom camera is old and Samsung should ve have added 50X zoom like the Note 20 Ultra. Next year's Fold 3 might get S pen, rumors say.

I find the 550 nits screen brightness appalling...the note 10 plus already isn't bright enough to use outside with 1500 nits 😑 😒

I'm a note buyer, just bought the note 20 ultra but if they get rid of the note series I may just walk away from the galaxy line. I'm not sold just yet on the fold.

Same here. I considered between Note 20 Ultra and Fold 2 then I decided to get the Note. S pen is useful even though I dont use it much, but it is always there when I need it. I will buy Galaxy Fold when they give me Spen and scratch-resistant screen.

Why does the selfie camera exist on the outer screen when you can use the rear cameras for selfes. Waste of space and money.

I've owned both generations of the Fold and I can honestly say I believe that the 2 is better than the first generation in almost every way. I LOVE this phone.
