The case is great but the stylus holder is absolute garbage. It allows the pen to flex when my fingers rub against it which in turn causes lets the stylus roll to the side then it falls out.

I pre-ordered the fold 5 and I was thinking that the new s pen is too slim to my liking, so I bought the standing case with strap. Turns out I've made the right choice since it works with old gen s pen. This gotta be the most functional case of the bunch and definitely a great purchase.

I'm getting the Fold 5 and interested in that modular case with the strap. In the video you say the old s pen fits into the slot but how should I go about getting a new S pen? Do I have to buy a certain model that comes with that modular piece to slot into the case?

I'm really struggling with whether or not I should get one of these type on small cases or an Otterbox defender. I work outside and would prefer good protection but don't want the extra bulk. I guess it's just a trade off.

Wow Shane, this is THE best video for the cases on all of KZbin! Thank you! As far as the aesthetics are concerned: am i the only one who's getting tired of getting these gorgeous colorful phones, year after year... And the first thing we have to do is hide them in a case? Unless of course we're ok with our $1800 phone to look like a toddler played rough with it in their sandbox after 6 months. For the price of these phones we should be able to demand phones that actually last...

If you use these phones like a normal phone and be moderately careful with it, like try not to drop em too much and stuff, it survives quite well. Typing this on a prestine Condition Z Fold 3 after 2 whole years. Just had a screen protector change which was extremely simple. Same goes for my mom's ZFlip 3.

Honestly for how it survived, I'm thoroughly impressed. I even brought it for use in a wood workshop for 3 months, during which there were saw dust everywhere. And it didn't go into the hinge or anything, tho I did have a case on

The slim S pen case was one of the reasons i went ahead and ordered the new Fold 5. I can't stand the previous cases. I really like having the s pen always available while still being able to wirelessly charge.

What i feel the main problem with the fold cases is the front bumper for the case uses adhesive and with time adhesive gets worn out and then you have to use your phone without the front protection. I feel samsung should do more R&D in the case design for the front bumper so that it just clips on just like the back part of the case .

Thanks, and I hope you're able to do a similar video for the Flip 5. I rarely end up with one of Samsung's cases, partly due to the exorbitant price, but also because 3rd party stuff usually ends up being more interesting and useful for me. The FlipSuit case for the 5 looks like a fun novelty, but way to pricey.

If the old s pen attachment fits into the new phone case, than the new flex grip attachment will fit into the fold 4 if you have the fold 4 S pen attachment 😎 I have the bulky grip case and the spen case with the stand attachment for my fold 4..this will give me a nice flushed flex grip on my phone 👍

I have the zf4 spen case, I see that it fit the zf5 with the only con of the flash cut out. I don't mind the extra lip of that case with the spen, but I know that with the front bumper part of the case there's really no gap between the front and back parts of the case when the phone its close. Can you try having both front and back bumpers on the new zf5 while close to see if this will be an issue. I would like to not have to buy a whole new case if I can just use my old one. I can just cut out a hole for the flash if that's the only con...

So I have a Fold4, and I love it. However, the inside screen got a bubble in the middle, and it just grew and grew. I'm getting it replaced because it's under warranty, but do I really want to? Maybe upgrade to the Fold5, but is it worth it? Or go back to the S (my last phone was a S21) and get the S23. If I don't get a new full year warranty on the replacement of my Fold4, I'm not going to keep it. Any suggestions would be great.

Worth testing both wireless charging and sharing in future case reviews. My Fold 5 with no case on can wirelessly charge other devices (e.g. Buds Pro or Watch 6 classic), but cannot wirelessly power share with the standard Samsung S Pen case on. YMMV.

The fold 4 cases were discounted around Black Friday last year. Hoping for the same this year. Glad to see improvements were made across the board. The strap concerned me at first fearing that the strap accessory could slide out in use but with the phone open it does block the accessory from sliding out which is nice. Also sounds like maybe the accessories click into place more solidly than last year's?
