It's a PITA to type with most cases, the edges of cases get in the way of typing and swiping. A wider front screen would be killer.

Therefore you can just go with natural and be happy. But what if someone wants a vivid one? Flossy Carter literally put the 23 ultra and the 24 ultra onside each other. The difference wasn’t even that big. It was literally slightly more dull. Samsung is supposed to be releasing a software update for that

I do love my Fold 5, however the inside touch screen doesn't do well with the side parts of your thumb when scrolling. Highly recommend to Ultra line over the Fold, especially Pen users and more durable.

wider outer display means more squarish inner display, so if we want a regular phone sized display in outside and a tab sized display in inside, i think tri-fold or slideable phone is the only solution

And speaking of S24 lineup I heard a rumor that people are having some issues with it. It's not the phone this time but Android Auto in cars. It's not working properly on Galaxy S24 it's happening when people use Škoda and Volkwagen cars. Maybe car infotainment system has issues.

Samsung and Google can release the best phones but for me, Android Auto was the reason why I went back to Apple. Im in my car alot and having to deal with Android Auto for a year was the most annoying thing ever lol. Not being able to use the device on the move, being forced to stop before changing addresses etc etc are deal breakers to me. These were big enough reasons for me to get rid of Pixel and Galaxy would be no different. Gawwd Im good with Iphone 15PM

Quick share is no longer working hassle free after integration with nearby share and no-one is tlaking about it😭 I used to send files to my own devices even if they were locked, now they need to be screen on as well as Bluetooth on. They made nearby device scanning redundant

When I've paid over £1.2k for a phone i expect the settings to work ... simple. There's no difference between natural and vivid display settings so the claims that it's a "feature" and not a bug are a lie.

I think if it was true that the vivid display won't be so vivid they'd make it uniform across all phones and tablets. And the fact that 5 haven't done so yet shows that it's a bug issue on the 24. I think Spain samsung wrote a reply for the sake of a reply. PS vivid display effects pics and KZbin videos. Don't think they'd make that much of a drastic change just like that.

The people who call the display washed out always set their phone to vivid which I don't do coz it's very unrealistic. I always set mine to natural. Because of the vivid mode bug looking natural now they think it's washed out lol it's not though the problem is the vivid mode isn't working but it certainly isn't washed out, it's just natural and they will fix it soon.

I've used my Samsung phones always on natural mode, because of the blue light filter. I went and checked in settings and it says that if I want to use vivid, I gotta turn it off, which is never gonna happen.

I’m happy with that decision to keep the display as is tbh. I’ve always thought Samsung displays were way too vivid in comparison to iPhone, whenever I’d edit a video on the Samsung and posted it online, the colours would look good on the Samsung but complete shit on the iPhone.

The problem with this choice of Samsung is that Samsung takes away the choice from its users, and the reason why I don't use an iPhone or a Pixel it's the absence of choice. Samsung would be better off copying the useful things like iPhone Photographic Style or Pixel Google Assistant. And above all, think about offering a realistic/natural color profile in photos next to its neon colors 🤧. By dint of wanting to look too much like Google and Apple by taking away the choice, Samsung will in the long term push its consumers towards Google and Apple.

There is no theory with the snapdragon due to other mobile manufacturers also released their phones with benchmarks that come close or equal to S24 Ultra. If anything, Samsung deliberately throttles their devices to a certain level (same for exynos and snapdragon), that it makes it seem like snapdragon performs the same as exynos under a certain temperature, they both are equal the same performance on the same high temperature. Exynos may or may not lead only in the raytracing, but the rest relies on temperature, and samsung chose to keep the temperatures on safe level, thus why it SEEMS like exynos is the same as snapdragon on a high temp. You can get one of those cooling fans and see for yourself on intensive gaming that snapdragon still wins by a margin. If it were for Samsung to throttle snapdragon users more than exynos just for that reason, someone would eventually by now sue Samsung, and they'd have a hard time to explain why they did it. In conclusion, no, that theory is false.

if aspect ratio change i will buy fold no time. I mainaly watch youtube and the reason i want big phone is to have portable phone where I can watch youtube or other media in a bigger screen. Right now there are huge black bars resulting same screen size as Ultra or any other big phone size... I don't see the point of having huge screen unless you are heavy split screen user. I never use split screen, maybe popup youtube screen when i reply to messages...

i'm personally starting to get more used to the less vivid colors but to be completely honest, it was extremely distracting at the start.if i compare it to my old s22u, there's a night and day difference between the color configurations. what i don't like and is actually pissing me off a little is samsung's argumentation.if they wanted to have a more natural color scheme, the "natural" mode is literally right there?like i din't get why they thought taking away the choice was a good idea. what is the point of having a "vivid" option if the colors are literally the exact same? makes absolutely no sense to me

Samsung went from making an innovative tech niche to one that has stagnated; if you can count on one thing from major OEM players that have gotten too big, it's the fact you should always be prepared to be underwhelmed by iterative crap that barely qualifies as a generational leap. The one plus open has seriously shown Samsung how it should handle certain aspects, yet Samsung likely remain arrogant in their "progress" because they always incentivise shareholders and playing it safe as opposed to making meaningful updates in regards to hardware. Simply put a brand that has everything to lose and stand out will try harder to get your money than one that is safe in the knowledge people will buy it anyway. The whole principle outlined is exactly why Samsung got into the business of foldables to start with.

What **behooves** me is that all of the complaints about the color and display quality of the S24U are making a lot of noise about it, which I'm sure is a **software** fix. But when Apple releases its iPhone 15 series, it has overheating issues, and **miraculously**, people forgot about it. New phones will not always be perfect when they're freshly released. But I'd take a phone with a slightly dull display and anti-reflective coating over one that will potentially overheat. And for the Apple fanboys, please don't come for me. I also own an iPhone 12PM and a Samsung S24+ currently. So I don't have a problem criticizing either brand because I'm not biased like that, nor am I an entitled, ungrateful consumer who wants to act like a kindergartener over color display qualities. #TechTalk #HonestOpinions #NoFanboyism

Anyone who wanted to have anti reflective screen they would put such screen protector. Now that we use normal screen protector the screen is again reflective with less vibrant colors. I think it is such a bad move on s24 ultra.

Just don't make Fold 6 too wide. We'll end up with a very hard to handle foldable and very weird aspect ratio on the inner screen. I believe 21:9 is the widest the cover display should be.
