OnePlus is challenging Samsung lovers to come purchase the OnePlus Open. With the price being $1399 and up to $800 off with trade-in is awesome. $599 for the OnePlus Open is a phenomenal deal. That's the lowest price I've seen to date on the OnePlus Open. Not to mention, the camera on the OnePlus Open is great too. I'm interested in the Z Flip 6 as well. I've had all of the Z Flip phones except the Z Flip 5. The Z Fold 2 is the only Z Fold that I've owned. I'm interested in seeing if Samsung makes any changes to the Z Fold 6 or if it will be the same as the Z Fold 5.

While I totally hear you on Samsungs stagnant Z Fold line, I think Apple is more guilty of stagnation than Samsung may be. The pro/pro max line has been nearly the exact same design for over five years, even though that's their flagship. I think both companies could use some bold decision making, honestly.

I don't think so. One plus was on T-Mobile for a while and was complaining about low sales. I personally prefer the Galaxy fold over the open due to form factor. The fold is more comfortable to hold and can easily be repaired in the u.s.

I'm using Z fold 4 and it is still okay and I'm a heavy user. Both work and personal. I don't like the circular camera bump but that's aesthetics. Also, the inner screen of the One Plus is small.

Only reason I won’t get a one plus open is because it’s not on a us carrier. I’d rather have my carrier protection plan than manufacturer one. That and the software for multitasking is a bit better on the Samsung fold

Ive had the fold 3,4 and now 5 along with every note since the note 2 and most S device's since the S3...admittedly im a samsung fanboy lol. That said if the outer screen is not significantly wider and they dont put a set of flagship cameras on the fold 6 I am not buying it. The vivo x fold 3 pro is going global and thats what I will buy or the pixel fold 2 if they fix all the issues from last year.

The main reason I myself strayed away from the fold series is because Samsung refuses to make an innovative change to that device. I don’t think the 6 will be that much different, the same hoes for the next iPhone. These companies aren’t going to change much because people still buy their products.

I feel like samsungs new z fold will succeed if they change some of the hardware like you said. Most of us feel like samsung has the best software on foldables and helps you get the most out of the big screen without having to deal with piller boxing/black bars when using apps and watching videos. I can't stand that, for all that, you might as well have a normal candy bar style phone.

I enjoy my fold 5. Didnt like fold 3 to many issues.. but i like the narrow display and can use with one hand. Its fast, no issues since day one. One plus is awesome but i had it just wasnt for me. Can only get the fast charge using their charger.. and with my life style i need wireless charging. Car, work office and home all got wireless chargers.

I think maybe Samsung just isn't selling enough devices for them to make major changes. The folding phones combined only hold about 2% of the world wide market, I think that's why oneplus is waiting a year before they release a second generation of their folding phone, outside of tech heads (buying) folding phones aren't bringing in major revenue. When Apple makes a folding device we will know folding devices have arrived.

Samsung was the greatest now they're about to lose their entire fan base, including me if they don't make the necessary changes. Samsung is super comfortable because the foldables that are stepping up have to be imported in the states. I also wish Google would stick with the design of the pixel fold. That design was perfect! The resaon im done with Samsung Fold is because they refuse to make the outer screen as wide as a normal phone. Not only that, but they have been making the phone shorter since the Fold 3, making.the inner screen smaller. Samsung have forgotten the whole point of a Fold is to have a larger phone. What logic are they using when they are making it smaller with each iteration. I'm ditching my Fold 5 for the Vivio X fold 3 or the Honor Magic V3.

Great video! Honestly as a Z Fold 2 and 4 user.....This year will be a disappointment hardware wise. The OnePlus Open proved that we can have a better folder form factor here in the US. Samsung is just being lazy at this point. They aren't really expanding the size of the screen to match a OnePlus or even the new Pixel Fold coming out. It's LAZY. I am really debating trading the Z Fold 4 in for the OnePlus Open especially being on sale or waiting for the OnePlus 2. I PERSONALLY need a wider and usable front screen. I can't even type on the Fold 4 without opening the device....I'm tired of that. There are too many other folds out there that have better form factors. This is just my own opinion. I don't believe in the staying power of foldable phones. I think between the price and fear of screen breaks is going to finally make people go back to slab phones. I read of all types of platforms that more and more consumers are tired of having the fear of their screens breaking and having issues with replacement or fixing the screens. Not to mention needing insurance to help offset the fear of replacement. I can't speak for foreign countries but I live in the USA and I only buy my phones from best buy or verizon. If my phone breaks,it's replaced,it's that simple. Buy,for me,I loved folding phones but found myself more and more not needing to unfold the phone enough to justify the hefty price tag that comes with these foldables.

If you are looking for specific things like front s pen support, wider and bigger screen... flagship cameras, no crease.. ... then believe it or not its not worth moving to Fold 6 from Fold 3 even... theres other options this year who will provide you with those specific things. But if you like Samsung's software a lot and generally happy with the lack of those elements mentioned above, then yes, Fold 6 can be considered an upgrade, but id still say you can at a push wait for Fold 7 if you want to....
