Look for me i want just to give a hint of whats going on, cause in Costa Rica Samsung its dying, Xiaomi and many chinese brands are taking control of the nation now that on the TV and mobile side of things, most true sales are done on middle and low end product ranges, but samsung isnt justifying its position, and i personally used a samsung galaxy A32 5G 128GB from 2021 and i hated it, it was just garbage with the evil guy of the movie being the UI, its crap and not only you cant uninstall bloatware, it has samsung hyper exclusive apps you dont want or are even entirely useless like the galaxy store and its poor offer of apps, but still i just dont like the brand and i think samsung might shine on developed countries but its actually disapearing on developing ones, cause here in costa rica, we love google since the early chrome days and most costa ricans use chrome more than any other browser and android sells more phones here than apple, in fact only less than 200 000 people on the entire nation use iPhone and most of them are US foreginers living here and costa rican borned descendants of such as well as high class costa rican engineers and architects, so in fact if i was to buy an expensive phone, ASUS ROG Phone 8 Pro Edition on 2024 takes the crown of absolute Android beast, not experience, i want a very TRUE Phone that delivers a meaningfull fast software experience and runs all the games i want on high definition in audio, pixel resolution and frames per second, gaming phones are the ones who delivers that, even samsung once the king of high spec phones losses the throne against this bad boy from taiwan (dont worry, but indiferent from your political view i know taiwan isnt going to be annexed by china cause since 2022 china has being silent and probably secretly cancelled the taiwan invasion for good due to cost overuns and image against the world), but still nothing happened so the world keeps running normal, so i guess the future its bright for both my country Costa Rica and the tech landscape in general as people are diggin more in what tech spec theyll buy before they click in "pay" on Amazon website, yes in Costa Rica, amazon its the king

The RISC-V mainboard is probably one of the most clever uses of Framework as a platform standard. Being able to put out functional proof-of-concept hardware like that is pretty cool.

The only way this would work is if the software platform is functional. That means an OS (most likely Linux, as it supports RISC-V already) that contains all the drivers and the integration so the user can simply work. As far as I could see, RISC-V was not yet as advanced as ARM (even in the ARM world, Raspberry Pi is miles ahead most others), but we might be shown something else, who knows?

I know you said xreal connected with cable to smartphone is not the future but I have to say that I'm using these glasses every day, mostly while walking my dog. No other device can offer me AR with complete seethrough and really nice 60 inch screen above my dog. And cable is not a problem at all because the glasses can be incredibly light. You can even ride a bike with it with directions in upper corner of your sight. I can see potential future with it, but I understand it's still niche product.

The separation of the two cameras on the android device is huge.. It will have far far better spacial depth recording than an iPhone or my Lume Pad 2. I can understand if you want to make a 3d camera with a processor to do realtime depth maps for games then Android would be a good option. No point in reinventing the wheel. My Lume Pad 2 uses onboard AI to realtime convert everything on youtube, face book etc and any video or picture I load onto it into amazing glasses free eye tracked 12.9" lovliness.

I'm still confused by these Qualcomm Snapdragon X benchmarks. The way that Qualcomm frames them is that they seem to always compare with "M3" which is the base model with passive cooling, while using the more power hungry chip. Just seems like there's a lot of cherry-picking of benchmarks currently.

6:00 I do have to say, I have wildly varying results with the Phone link app. Sometimes it lets me send myself links through it (or even through the Microsoft Edge app - which I might be the only one using it both on PC and Android), sometimes it just stops working as intended. That is a lineup that is just not going to cut it, the competition on foldables is now strong enough that this "safe" play by Samsung is truly lackluster. The ultra watch should have a week long battery life, I guess that's why that square case is for. It's like Samsung fired its innovation division, this is nothing cutting edge even if they add new AI tricks.

It seems pretty damn competitive right now but both Intel and AMD are about to release their next gen SoCs for laptops and they seem better than the X Elite in most regards on top of not having compatibility issues. X Elite is a bit late to the party, prices will have to be cut heavily for qualcomm to take market share and the leverage that comes with it.

Samsung Really messed up by changing the form factor of their watch. The Samsung watch 6 classic is beutiful! they really kocked it out of the park with that one. I have one and have gotten multiple compliments on how it looks. ive owned 4 Different smart watches before that one and never gotten a compliment on their looks. they should have stuck to that form factor instead of trying to battle apple. speciallly since nowadays people are getting tired of the apple watch form and its starting to be seem as lame now that everybody has one.

We see all these weird devices and maybe rigtfully say that they will be obsolete but as an engineer i cant stop thinking how much effort probably lying behind them. Sorry for them
