I'll stick with Samsung Notes since I don't need to be connected to the internet for it to work, unlike GoodNotes which is nothing more than a web browser app that needs a constant connection to work.

sadly samsung notes does not export notes as a vector graphic. Instead it makes use of rasterization thus pixelating the notes... interesting side fact: if you import the rasterized pdf back into samsung notes it is a vector graphic once more. Seems to be intentional to tie you to the ecosystem. Sadly it destroys print quality.

GoodNotes 6 is $199 USD per year or $599 one time payment. I paid once for GoodNotes 5 so I don't plan to change. I really only use it on an iPad. They tried to force everyone to a subscription and many people resisted! Samsung Notes sounds very interesting though for Android. Thanks for the comparison!

I have an iPad pro, a cheap Samsung tab s6 lite, and a windows laptop I use OneNote by Microsoft, so that I can access my notes from any device I use iPad to write Notes, And then when I have to Study from the notes, I use my laptop with Bigger screen Also, If I have to refer to something On The Go, I can even access them from my phone This cannot be done either with Goodnotes nor with Samsung notes

I Have recently switched to Samsung galaxy S9 ultra (Android) from ipad.I have been using it to do annotations in my PDFs of textbook and found it easier to find any word on ipad in goodnotes app however in the tablet I don't find the search icon and I can't scroll a 1000 pages book as it starts lagging.

I have used Samsung note on my tab so far but when it come to writing, Microsoft word is still far better than samsung note comparing to Samsung note. It is far easier to edit, adjust the space and overall process but I do suggest Samsung note when it come to outlining your book, collecting ideas and brainstorming. I use Microsoft word to write and Samsung note to outline everything

In 2008 all Office Word Processor's were completely wiped out on all computers, Even the old ones. This is why= 1.They wanted you to pay expensive yearly fees. If you accidentally miss a payment your office word processor can be wiped out. Many have already lost very important information because of this problem. 2. The government/cia wants access to all of your personal information. Before when it was all built-in our government had difficulties accessing it. But now because you downloaded it from the internet, the internet and cia gets full access if you are online and not on Airplane mode. Everything you have ever written has all been recorded in a massive supercomputer database in which the cia has access to it. 3. To throw advertising in your face all of the time for things that served no purpose and waste time. Here are my New plans= Buy a full "lifetime" supply of Apache Open Office word processor. And permanently keep my Samsung Tablet on Airplane mode to keep out hackers, AI and supercomputers. Then use only Bluetooth for printing to a Printer without the use of internet. I can use this method for over 50 years and never have to pay a thing or have big brother spying on my personal writings. But I don't know how compatible Apache Open Office is when it comes time for publishing a book or the new laws and regulations of these new publishers?

While you can type in Samsung Notes, it's primary purpose is to be used like an actual notebook.
