Generally no. But sometimes they do have software updates. They usually comes with a app that you install and inside that app you can update it if needed.

@@DR1DL3Y Any idea if the T7 shield has the same samsung evo 870 chips(and quality) in order to have sustained write speed ? Im looking at it as a option for a blackmagic video asist 7 and hopefully record in 4k without dropping frames . Cheers dude !

Did you test the SSDs on a usb-c 3.2 2x2 port? If not, your test is invalid.

Not sure but that’s what I got when I did the test. Weird I know. Are they tricking us in saying the T9 is actually faster. I might do some deeper testing to see so stay tuned.

you need the faster usb-c port, so your Laptop is the problem. buy a mac

On Mac the speeds are same as the port are using USB 3.2 gen 2 instead of USB 3.2 gen 2x2. I think apple and other manufacturers will upgrade there ports in near future.
