I been expecting this comparison for sometime, so far it seems the QN90D will be my choice for PC monitor. However, I would love to see a comparison for SDR and HDR gaming, as well to make my final choice. Thanks for uploading Techosaur!.

I've been using this as my main pc monitor connected to a Samsung hw-q930B soundbar. Its been great so far for SDR gaming. Haven't done HDR gaming yet.

I'm interested in the topic of ABL (Automatic Brightness Limiting) in bright games in the case of the C4 and the handling of Blooming in dark games on the QN90D. Thanks again for the content, it's very useful for electronics sellers like me.

Haven't watched the video yet but seeing this video on my home page brought a huge smile on my face as I am currently between buying either of these models so this is JUST what I have been looking for! Without wanting to seem greedy, seeing that the Samsung s90d is a better TV (the QD-OLED variants at least), would you be able in the future to compare the s90d with the qn90d? I use the ones I mentioned in the video. Also, in the Nvidia control panel, I set the BPC to 12-bit and perform the HDR calibration on Windows. I set refresh rate to 120Hz because when I set it to 144Hz, it locks the HDMI black level as i said in its review. why there is less shadow details in c4??? for eg apple shown in c4 has sm dark lines unlike in samsung ....same goes for sun video and ita solar flares ...can yuh pls explain it bro

Actually, the C4 performs better in terms of providing a more realistic image. The QN90D, on the other hand, makes images appear somewhat smooth and artificial at times. I don't know if you mean better shadow details because in the apple example I see the C4 showing finer details than the QN90D, but the QN90D has better highlights and color vividness. The C4 gives less strong colors and highlights, but I see finer blacks like the black lines which are absent on the QN90D. I guess the reason is just that OLED is more accurate and since pixels can turn off it gives better image results than a local dimming setup.

I have the QN90B 50" as tv/monitor for 1 year and 7 months (got it on jan 2023). I'm not going to talk about the good things since you can see it on your own in KZbin. I use it at 4k 144hz in pc and of course for my Xbox Series X. -The viewing angles are horrible. When I watch a movie I can see pale colors to the left and right of me. Only in the center of the screen I see vivid colors. -I have to live with local dimming to low because on high will wash out colors when scene is dark. It's a known bug. -Dark scenes are horrible. -When I'm navigating the tv menu with the remote, it freezes sometimes and remote turns unresponsive. -After the year of use I'm seeing little black dots when scenes are bright, guess they are dead pixels. If you are new and you come from lcd or old led tvs, the jump to samsung's neo Qled is noticeable. If you are used to high end tv, neo qled is not worth it. From all the things I wrote. The local dimming bug really made me regret buying the QN90B instead of an LG Oled. Maybe in the future I will gift this to someone in my family and jump to LG Oled. Samsung updates are horrible and they are used to f*k with features that were working properly. Cheers.

Thanks for the input. It sounds like you had a horrible experience. I have never used a QN90B. I started with the last generation QN90C and now have the QN90D. I think the QN90C is a shift from the B. From what I heard, the B was really bad in more than one way. I used the QN90C as a TV and PC monitor, and it was great, except for viewing angles, dirty screen effect, The QN90D is actually great. On the D, I've noticed better dark scenes. The system responsiveness on both is good; they're not laggy.

Hi. Thanks for the great test, because I was just thinking about these two models. I would like to use it as a typical TV, i.e. Netflix, Amazon Prime, KZbin and cable. I would watch it perfectly straight ahead. The white in C4 looks very blue, as if this TV had no white color. Samsung looks better because of the brighter matrix. Which model would you choose for Netflix? I don't have a console and I wouldn't play on this TV. I would be very grateful for your advice.

Actually, when the C4 is on its own, you can’t perceive it. Only by placing them side by side will you immediately notice how much colder the C4 is, even at standard settings. I tried to play with the color temperature, but it never produced a pure white grade. Also, the QN90D is on standard; I didn’t make any changes. I’m not sure if the panel I received is like this, but it’s truly a vast upgrade in terms of white temperature. Also, my previous QN90C 43 had blue tinting, as I said in their comparison video, but the QN90D is whiter. I also made sure it wasn’t a camera issue; in real life, it gave the same view. It's a bit of visual trickery because the C4 alone will appear white, but when placed next to a whiter display, you will begin to perceive it as blue

In Poland, C4 42" costs 6200 PLN, which is 1580 $, QN90D 4500 PLN, which is 1140 $, and C3 3700 PLN, which is 940 $. C3 is unfortunately 30% darker than C4. Is it really worth the extra money for C4? There is a big difference in the fact that it is OLED and not Mini LED?

These videos are really bad for actual comparison because people watch these on IPS/TN/VA monitors, uncalibrated, not that it matters much, and think: hmm that looks so much better. Even though neither hte camera of the monitors can actually make a true to life let alone fair comparison. At best you can see the difference in blooming and potentially brightness.

Thanks for sharing your opinion. Sure, in real life, things will always be different, but most of the differences can show up. I've watched the video on my phone, and it looks quite similar to what I saw when I took the footage. But yes, if you can find and compare them in real life, that's going to be the best way to tell which ones fit your needs. At the end Everything I've mentioned is based on my personal experience

@@TECHOSAUR Problem with recording is that the phone/camera will autoexposure (unless you manually expose it to ONE of the displays) and this means one with be either over or underexposed. Meaning neither will represent reality.

The LG has way more 3D dimensionality to it, the Samsung seems so flat in comparison, also the Samsung has a little less clarity compared to the LG, so things look less pronounced on the Samsung

That's something I can agree with. The C4 could capture finer details, but the brightness is on the QN90D's side. It's dazzlingly bright in HDR It's a personal choice, definitely both have a space in the market

Thats an OLED thing, self lit pixels can make that 3d effect.
