Any chance you could do another comparison video but this time with accurate settings using the built-in apps with real SDR/HDR content? And is it possible for gaming to use accurate settings on the QN90D like Contrast Enhancer Off, Game HDR Basic and HDMI Black Level Auto? Surprised you had to use HDMI Black Level Low. I find if I use HDMI BL Low on my 43" QN90B on the desktop I get deeper blacks but then the colours seem worse for web pages, etc.... If you don't use Contrast Enhancer you shouldn't have to use HDMI Level Low or Shadow Detail -5, since CE really lifts APL and highlight brightness. Something doesn't sound right. 😄
@TECHOSAUR4 ай бұрын
Trust me, you’ve seen it for yourself. Setting the HDMI black level to low is my best change. I can’t live without it now. I see all the details, and it gives me a truly elevated viewing image. And as I said, when I set it to normal, it gets a dark gray treatment on top even in places with supposed total black. You saw I had the contrast enhancer on and the shadow detail at -5. Still, if my HDMI black level is normal, it will look bad. Shadow detail comes as a secondary change. My primary setting is the HDMI black level to low along with contrast enhancer and local dimming and dynamic black equalizer to 1 I don’t know if your QN90B is any different, as I’ve never had it. I had the QN90C, and I never set the HDMI black level to low. This may have to do with the QN90D in particular. I will try my best to make the topic you ask for in a coming video. I al looking at them just for gaming; how is their upscaling for 1440 or older 1080 games ? I still use some of them and this is a major point for me
@TECHOSAURАй бұрын
For PC mode, TV upscaling doesn't work on either. They recognize when a PC input is used and doesn't provide any AI upscaling or even any picture enhancement. However, for gaming consoles, it does work. For example, on the Nintendo Switch, playing in 1080p feels upscaled to 4K and doesn't have that blurry look. Also, on media playback via USB or the TV smart dashboard like if u open youtube app etc, video broadcasting via antenna or cable, they delivers such a feature. However, for a PC, it's more reliant on your GPU. So when I switch resolution to 1440p on pc it lose image fidelity like on every other monitor However imo i found qn90d has better updacling Nintendo looks way better on it, image is very clear and defined., it almost make the switch a modern console, I couldn't bear its limited image looking and after QN90D it really changed it for me, even the qn90c of last year wasn't as gold in upscaling But for PC none made ever a change Hope i was able to answer well

Por que você escolheu usar a QN90D como monitor ao invés da OLED c4?
@TECHOSAUR4 ай бұрын
@Alanzudo435 Yes, I use it as a PC monitor, and it's better for me as I don't like the automatic brightness drop on the C4 on static windows. For example, when I video edit or use static windows, it dims a lot, and I just get scared of burn-in in those situations. I prefer the C4 as an entertainment monitor more than for professional use. But the QN90D suffers from worse panel latency as you saw in acrollimg, but usually I don't scroll a lot in my work, and in gaming it doesn't really show that bad effect. I think each one will have it's audience, for me personally I find the QN90D a better option but I admit that the C4 has better color accuracy so for artists It may be better to represent better colors

Greetings from Poland! ^_^ Hello, I have 3 questions if I have time! 1. Which TV do you think is better as a computer monitor and why? (Doesn't the LG c4 dim the white pages when displaying browser pages like the LG c2 used to do)? 2. Which TV plays games like Cyberpunk / LeagueofLegends/ The Witcher better? 3. Which TV will show companies like Avatar better and why:? I'm planning to buy it, initially I was in favor of Oled LG, but I'm afraid that if I use it 10 hours a day, the screen will simply burn out after 2-3 years. And currently I'm using a 10-year-old Samsung Led, which is holding up quite well.
@TECHOSAUR4 ай бұрын
Hey my friend in Poland, 1. In my opinion, the QN90D is the better choice, especially if you're worried about burn-in. With the QN90D, there's no risk of burn-in, even if you keep static images on the screen for extended periods. For example, when I do tests and benchmarks for videos, I often have static windows open for hours. When I do video editing, especially in Premiere Pro, the black background with white elements like text or the video playback window can leave faint shadows if left on for a while. While these shadows eventually fade, it's a sign that I'm pushing the OLED of the C4 a bit too much. If you're using your monitor for static applications for long periods, over time it might degrade the OLED. Additionally, the C4, like the C2, has an automatic dimming feature to protect the screen when static content is displayed. It gradually dims over time, which can be distracting when you're working. You might not even notice it immediately, but after a while, the screen gets darker, and it brightens up again when you interact with it. On the other hand, the QN90D's MiniLEDs are incredibly bright, and the brightness remains consistent regardless of static images or apps. There's no auto-dimming or brightness shifting like on the C4. 2. When it comes to gaming, the C4 does have the edge in terms of deep blacks and overall detail. OLED has individual pixel control, which gives it that signature "pop" and a more three-dimensional look, making objects feel more lifelike. Some users even say it provides a more immersive experience That said, the QN90D shines in terms of brightness and vividness, especially with HDR content. For example, in a game like Horizon Forbidden West on ps5, the stars in the night sky on the QN90D are incredibly bright and magical, creating a fantastic HDR experience. The C4, while excellent with dark scenes, doesn't quite match the QN90D in terms of bright highlights like stars. Ultimately, it comes down to personal preference. many consider the C4 better for gaming, others prefer the QN90D. Personally, I lean towards the QN90D because of how stunning the MiniLEDs look, but both are excellent choices depending on what you're after. 3. I’m not sure what you meant by your third question, could you clarify? At the end of the day, both are great options, and it often comes down to the deal you can get. Samsung usually offers better deals and savings, but I’m not sure how it is in Poland. If I had to choose, I'd go with the QN90D, but I totally understand why someone might prefer the C4, it excels in areas like viewing angles, response time, and that immersive 3D feel. Hope this helps you make the best decision for your needs! I'm here whenever u need more info I may soon get the G8 OLED 32" from Samsung, sure a 32" is smaller size but in interested to try QD-OLED for the first time, I was hopping Samsung to release a 42" QD-Oled this year but guess we still need to wait, the 42 OLED they released is not available in the EU and it's using an LG WOLED so it's not their new signature QD-OLED
@kajobecha4 ай бұрын
@@TECHOSAUR Thank you very much! The third question was which TV would show movies like Avatar better and nicer? What elements (like HDR, color depth, color vibrancy, detail) will be better on these models. An additional question: isn't the black in c4 sometimes overwhelming? Like in Cyber Punk, for example? It seems that in 90D, due to this brightening, a bit more detail was visible in the dark background? I have 2 phones, one with an Amoled screen from Samsung and the other P-Oled with a screen from LG. I admit that I am more attracted to a phone with an Oled screen, it is more natural and more detailed, but HDR scenes actually look quite poor and the screen gives the impression of fading colors. that's why sometimes I want to browse the news / tiktok on Samsung I wonder if LG C5 will have MIA. Do you think that MIA would significantly increase the vibrancy of colors and provide the option to make the detail of the background in black more visible in games like Cyber Punk? (In Poland, one portal subtracted c4 points for cutting detail in the darkroom) In general, if we set the HDMI black level to low on a VA matrix in a Samsung, we have a similar effect to an Oled screen, the black is really good (and I have a 10-year-old Samsung TV ) The only problem is that when you set it to low, it cuts out details in dark scenes as if they didn't exist. The lighting effects look amazing, but that's probably because there's less detail on the sides to distract us. The question is whether in c4 it can be somehow compensated in the settings, is there an HDMI black option?

Okay, I have a few conclusions after a day of setting up the QN90D. 1. HDMI black set to normal is less eye-straining during prolonged use and you can see more details in games. 2. The TV has an unset white balance, without these settings there is a drama. But once it's done correctly, or close to perfection, it's good. (Not perfect, but good) 3. Viewing angles are average, not bad, but my old Samusng with RBG LED technology had better angles. 4. The colors are very vivid, even artificial when the backlight is higher, but it can be adjusted. Overall... After a few hours of struggling with the settings, I can say that it is good, but there are a few small flaws and a few worse things than in my previous Samsung. There are also some strong advantages such as 120/144hz, 4k, greater detail, better colors.

@@Vombora93 I just discovered it today, the situation is as follows: If we want to use a browser on the computer, watch KZbin or a movie... we must have the Nvidia/Radeon panel set so that the image is controlled by the TV. However, if we want to play, the image should be controlled by the graphics card. - Unfortunately, it will have to be moved, why? 1. When browsing websites or watching movies, the image with Nvidia settings does strange things, as if it was trying to improve the movie and sometimes it does something like some strange 3D effect that makes it difficult to use or unnaturally sharpens the colors. However, if we want to play games with TV settings, we have a lot of lighting effects that distract us, while with Nvidia settings it is done so that the gameplay is in the first frame.
