My Samsung fridge's mainboard light it solid red and not blinking but the fridge isn't cooling. The Samsung tech said the sealed system issue is covered but the mainboard is broken and they're charging me $500 to replace the mainboard, claiming they can't fix the sealed system until they replace the mainboard. Shouldn't a solid red light mean the board is fine?

@@veronicaposadas9317 Replacing the mainboard didn't fix the fridge in my case. I opted to order the board and replaced it myself rather than let the technician charge me $200+ for a 5 minute job. What's funny is that when I suggested to him that I could replace the board myself, he got visibly nervous an started stammering excuses about why I should let him do it. When I told Samsung that replacing the board didn't fix the issue, they sent a different technician that informed me I shouldn't have been charged for a board replacement in the first place. Some techs will try to find any way to charge you for what should be covered. The second technician ended up installing a brand new compressor in the fridge under warranty.
