If they'll skip the motorized rolling, they'll do better IMO. The tacticle satisfaction of costumizing how far you want to roll out your screen and the feel of the snap/lock when you roll it back would be amazing for the end-user. Plus the added reliability of not having an electric motor (which also consumes power) is a major bonus.

Rollables are inherently superior to foldables. It is possible design a manual rollable

Also, the motor will malfunction easier

i loved the pop up cameras, and still hate that no modern phone has it

Samsung did this to themselves. If they had only listened to the reviews, they'd still be on top in this category.

I have a Oppo Reno 2 and never had any issues with the extremely awesome "shark" camera. And I still love the faces of Apple Users when I unlock my Android from 2019 with face ID 😅

Looks cool. But am I the only one whose a bit fatigued by the constant need to innovate? I've mostly been satisfied with my slabs of glass so far. The only irritant being that android doesn't have very robust games that work with controller attachments... but thats more of a software thing.... though heat and battery I suppose could use an upgrade...

No, I think it's better than a normal foldable because 1. It's not as thick as a foldable because it rolls instead of folding. 2. The aspect ratio will be really good and not a square.

@@mohammadrayedatif6731 first of all how would u repair it? The fold isa bit repairable..

I am pretty sure that they would be able to develop this technologies to a point where it holds / rolls together and works without any issues for a couple of years in a matter of years. And at that point the hardware wouldn't be the thing that's holding you back, but the software updates.. Touchscreens were called stupid gimmicks aswell and look where we are now.. I'd say there's potential

@@vladro4766 you'd repair it by fixing it like how you repair literally anything else 🤨.
