you have to disconnect the HDMI and plug it back in after firmware update. Sound should be fine after that.

Picture is best of all firmwares from the beginning, really impressive motion. I don’t have any dimming problems also, I’m not sure why. Maybe it’s the settings? For me the quality is better than ever, better even than when I bought it with the original software. Sound is in fact a bit different, but you can balance it with settings. I feel that the sound was made more compatible with my soundbar now and Qsymphony is a real symphony now. It works together instead of doubling the sound as earlier. A really good update in my experience 🎉

Is it worth updating if i set everything back to 1082 in the service menu? Have you thought about setting your colors back to 1082 in Colorspace? You can set brightness back to 1023 (that will result in 1,500 nits in every window) in anapeak 1 and 2. You can turn the Screensaver brightness down to 7 to 0 as well. Correcting gamma will help, too. Small youtubers have the original 1082 settings. The ofsfun apps have an old style remote that you get into the service menu into. If you press mute 119, then 1,2,3,4. The S95B auto updates when the tv is turned off, if that happens (and you are connected internet, unplug router and wifi, and it won't update), but it's ultimately up to you, thought I would help out. The way I see it (and correct me, I'm wrong), but I don't think there is anything to lose on firmware 1622. Ultimately, it's up to you. I haven't had any bad experiences from messing in the service menu. Imagine if they had this motion from the beginning, no tv would have come close to the s95b.

I noticed my sound was quieter also, I went into sound settings and found an equalizer that was set to default 0, and the Surround sound I had on before was set to standard. Adjusted those and sound got alot better

As a samsung 2022 8k owner, Samsung has screwed the 2022 8k qn900b. The color, depth,and contrast is horrible now. 1602 was phenomenal for the qn900b 8k and now 1622 is atrocious. Samsung is only as good as its latest firmware and that is sad because some of their hardware is capable of being great, but these updates might be their downfall.

I just purchased the S95c 65 inch at £1350 in a 20% sale and £200 back once I receive the TV and phone up. My question is in the S94b you just stated that the motion is better now and at the LG level but your review of the new 95c says the motion is far superior to LG G3 is this still the case? Also, keep up the good work as appreciate it and your honesty is great compared to the shills. My new TV will only be played at night time as it is in the bedroom as it replaces my LG B7 I've had for 7 years and a great TV and I have my c1 in my main living room with your great settings on it 💯👍

I noticed the sound thing as soon as I updated. Turns out that apparently the update set Sound Mode to Adaptive by default. Set it back to Amplify or Standard and it should get better.

Do you still have your LG OLED TV's? Both of mine won't play video on Amazon prime. I uninstalled the app on one TV and it won't download again and the other will go into the app but won't play video. Was curious if you have the same problem or knew a fix or if I'd have to wait for an update

my S95B does not offer update to new Firmware 1622. It still runs on 1602 and says there is no uodate available. I know that Samsung offers an USB update to 1622 on the support side but I don't want to make use of an USB uodate. By the way I am in Germany

Does anyone recommend updating from firmware 1520? Will I lose picture quality and color pop? I use quantum’s HDR settings and SDR settings however I’m happy with picture quality as of now. I don’t care for the sound since I never use it I always use my headphones when i play games and stuff.

They need to gix the Netflix app and HDR, on my S95B HDR on the Netflix app is horrendously dark, like if I dont turn on Contrast Enhancer on, even with the brightness + contrast = 50 + panrl brightness = high, then it is VERY dark. And yes ive hot every single stupid power save feature disabled and I've modded the firmware to "supposedly" 1500 nits etc. Amazon app HDR10+ is also dark AF too. PS5 is perfect, amazing even. The TV apps are terrible. Another thing they need to add is the ability to DISBALE Dynamic Tone-Mapping. In game mode it's disbaled and you can enable it if you choose to, but outside of game mode it is on by default with no option anywhere to toggle it. 🙄😒

Game mode has ALWAYS been extremely bright. Overly so. Nothing has changed there. Its actually still clipping, requiring hyper aggressive settings adjustments. Looks are subject so i won't bash your preference. I will say for my standards its way off.

Perdón que te corrija pero lo de tener que subir más el volumen es una mejora todos los equipos de sonido de alta gama necesita de subir el volumen bastante hasta empezar a oír algo esto es para evitar distorsión imagina que para alcanzar los 75db de THX lo tienes en el volumen 15 del amplificador cuando lo quieras poner en el volumen 60 estaría muy por encima del rendimiento del equipo y distosionaria respecto al interfaz funciona más rápida.y en cuanto al HDR le han subido un poco el brillo maximo gracias

They've romoved significant bass, mids, and treble. To correct you, its NOT an improvement to need 56 to do what 15 used to do. That's an astronomical difference. And not the good one you suggest it is. Thanks.

If you have this TV and use the inbuilt speakers, there is something seriously wrong with you. A soundbar that costs a tenth of this TV will give you such an obvious upgrade that it would be insane not to get at least that.

Hey Q, got s95b on its first day release at best buy, no deals full price day 1. Never connected to internet. Tv has original firmware and is by far best ive ever seen and sounds like you would agree. Think it was 10 something firmware. Some how??????? My tv updated yeterday without being online ever. Question Q, what in the literal fuck happened to my picture???? What happened to my brightness and it looks like the colors arent the same either. Sound lowered and its on what i alwayes listen to which is 18, but i had to raise to 24.how can i get this tv back to what is was? Also how could tv update not being connected to intenet? Im stump, puzzled and really piss off cause i would not have bought if picture was this dark. If cant be fix, what setting can i chang to in fact correct this dark image. Call of duty is almose impossible to play cause when your inside a building its even darker. I have your day 1 settings still on, havent changed anything, please help me, your probably the only one i trust that may be able to help. Great vid and thanks

You can only change the settings in the service menu. It will put it back to how it was, but you may lose your warranty.
