@danielpenteado I left the frontal camera alone. Long story short, I needed a screen temporarily on my old phone so I could access data on it, since no other reasonable way worked. Didn't need a camera for that, so I didn't bother actually moving it. But I will say I did fiddle with the camera a bit out of curiosity and it was _stuck_ in there, so I probably would've applied heat to try to remove it if I had to.

One of the best repair guides I've seen so far, well done. A few extra steps I would add are: 1 Making sure no dust/hairs go into the cameras before installing the back cover 2 Adding some adhesive to the sides of the front camera to make sure it stays flat and doesnt move around 3 Replacing the back cover adhesive as reusing the older one will probably leave gaps which can cause dirt and water to get in more easily, leading to the cover detaching in the future.

Thank you so much for the detailed disassembly. When we ordered the new screen we messed up and got the screen only, but, we used your technique for heating up and using isopropyl alcohol along with the razor blade to remove the old screen. The purchased screen went on great and you can tell by the color and chip look the new screen was not factory, oh well. We gently fed the connector through the slot and lined up the new glass and pressed it in. Keep up the great work, you are AWESOME... Tony

Hello very good video love it the best instructions ever. i have the same phone i forgot my password and find my phone its off from the phone setting i dont caare of the phone i want the data off the phone so i dont want to do factory reset i did call sumsung and all phone repairs no one could help me. my question is do you have any ideal or a way to get it to live again or at least get all the data from it ?? when i did change my passord i did take a screenshot for the password so if at least thers a way to get to screenshot pictures i can see the password. please advise.

I think the mid frame chassis is designed to carry any heat away from the battery anyway. Adding .5mm to the battery would leave the back cover sat high too

908U is the Version for the United States. 908E is international, 9080 is China, 908W is Canada. The difference is US Version is with Snapdragon CPU and International with Exynos CPU. Apart from that I don't think there is a difference. So if you buy a Replacement Kit it should fit for Snapdragon and Exynos

I was recording the full moon in 4k60p on a telescope on the roof of my house. I nudged the telescope. The phone slid down the ceiling tiles and fell three stories and landed on top of a bush. It didn't break. I grabbed it and started recording again. It fell again and landed in a waterfall made of concrete and broke. It sucks cuz I love the phone.

Samsung phones are so easy to work on s22 s23 note 20 note 20 and the rest of Samsung phones, they are so easy to replace and repair, iPhones got to many screws to take out just to repair

Screws and covers and lots of unnecessary shit. With Samsung phones its just removing the Back Glass and if you dont mind. Just break it open and buy a new Back Glass for 20bucks. Iphone? Needs to be carefully opened at the Display Glass. You can easily destroy the Display that way. Easy Repair my Ass!

Local repair shops keep telling me the waterproofing isn't possible to have after a screen replacement. I wanted to ask here since nobody here has any money to be made or not made off my decision but is this true?

I recently watched a video from the Channel Restore technique, and the guy tested it with an iPhone. It was repaired, and the adhesive tape of glue was replaced with a good quality one, 15 minutes under water, and the phone was perfect, he even opened it again to check and it was completely well. I would say that if the adhesive is changed after cleaning up very well with isopropyl alcohol 99% the frame from old adhesive, and it's heated up after the repair for some seconds with the heat gun, also clamps are placed for at least one hour, the phone should remain water resistant, probably not IP68 anymore, but resistant to an accident, definitely. The repair shops say that because they normally use standard glue not adhesive, they just secure it with a bunch of rubber bands for some minutes and of course in that way, the water can make it to inside on the frame. Also, Samsung and Apple don't give a warranty in case of water damage in case the phone get wet inside , something stupid, but they are also afraid of people coming to replace their phones for water damage.

I think the new screen comes with adhesives already attached. Mainly for the front camera and battery.
