I got my 55” s95b yesterday from Amazon and was super excited to see it. Got it set up yesterday afternoon and watched it for 6 hrs on different types of content. I have a LG C X 65”. My friend has a 65 A80j. All TVs uncalibrated. For hdr KZbin test stuff s95b is cool looking but color is noticeably off but can be adjusted down of course. After adjusting s95b then watching 6 hrs of mixed content l rate as this Light cannon brightest tv S95b Best picture watching shows not movies with hdr Sony A80j. That processing rocks. Clear and 3D like Movies hdr Sony Gaming SDR Lg Gaming hdr Samsung Best all around tv is Sony

What about dark scenes (coming out of darks) on streaming/lower bitrate stuff on the s95B? I have the CX and love it but find that darker scenes especially on NON 4k DISKS can be noisy/blotchy on lower source material like streaming and some SDR stuff which seems to be common on WOLEDS....

@@dy1497 my cx is Blotchy on SDR dark scenes as well. My s95b does not . It’s clear of blotchyness on dark scenes on all types of content Sdr . If this TV upscaled and Processed Lorez stuff and SDR stuff like the Sony does this TV would be unstoppable. The problem is the peoples faces looks basically blurry on low rez stuff. 1080 p sucks on this TV no doubt about it. That’s it’s only weakness but it’s a huge weakness compared to a Sony picture which was the tv l was going to buy before this came on to the scene.

You don't always need an accurate picture that's always going to be an opinion. If accurate looked dull and lifeless compared to a tv that wasn't accurate for the sake of reference would you go for it.

oh God, you're taking advice from QTV, why don't you guys do your own research. Wait for the Sony to come out and then make your decision. Go look at both TV'S and make your own judgement. The reason why people thinks the Sony is better is because of Sony's proven processor and the heatsinks, which obviously will cost more. Heat is the number one cause of degradation in electronics so figure it out that heatsinks should at the very least prolong your panel life. At best, the panel can display brighter pictures for longer periods without damaging effects.

I know lot of TV enthusiast like your self don't understand all the hype over the S95B vs Sony OLED. But you have to remember that when it comes to TV's the purist that would only own the most accurate looking TV and must have a calibrated set to get that accuracy is a very, very small niche group. My contention is that probably 98% or more of people that buy TV's don't ever calibrate them for one and don't really care if their set is the most accurate. They just love seeing beautiful vibrant picture that they can enjoy, period. Samsung knows this and that is why they target that group and therefore sell more TV's than anyone else. Sony on other hand targets the more towards the high end enthusiast like yourself and that is why their TV's cost so much more is because they know they aren't going to sell near as many TV's as someone like Samsung. Sony also probably puts little higher quality into their sets. But Sony is successful also because of that. So like Kwesi Williams said so well below in his comment, there is not right or wrong just what people prefer.

X95K review from a buyer -I notice both extreme strengths on the X95, like watching youtube 4K and 8k videos, which are mostly mind blowing....also, when watching the news and even commercials, when it shows typed fonts from computer screens like the weather forecast, writing on a white background, the image is second to none - absolutely mind blowing..but I feel the people in the newsroom or commercials and video when watching the news, could be significantly sharper, and that is a bit of a let down..I think the news is coming in at least High Definition resolution if not 4K resolution, but it could be a sharper image....my 2018 Sony 900f might actually be sharper while watching the news...I love my 900f as EVERYTHING looks very sharp on it, while the X95 is somewhat dull looking in one scene, and then seconds later. I'm blown away by a different image...I know I spent a lot of time calibrating the TV settings on the X95 yesterday ...I usually watch TV in Vivid Mode, the brightest mode to watch TV on from any manufacturer..I was a bit disappointed that vivid mode while watching most TV programs looks a bit ridiculous on the X95K because all the blacklists turn on and the image is way too milky white to watch like that, so I have to change the picture setting to Standard, which in theory reduces the brightness, but not by much on the X95, although that depends what you're watching...I also unfortunately notice judder while watching motion/panning videos on youtube and haloing around bright lights

Some of the big youtubers have gone on record to say that they don't like the look of a calibrated image. They like the type of image Samsung offers. That's fine but they'll never come forward and say the set is inaccurate. Just it's the best image they've ever seen. And they'll say anyone else not agreeing and actually showing the general public that it's not perfect they get upset at and start targeting those people. It really shows of how creditable they are as reviewers honestly. It's easy. It's the best looking Samsung TV ever. Done. That's simple. Is it the best looking TV ever? Clearly not for those that want accuracy. That all they have to say to be unbiased.

Just came back from the electronics store and saw the Samsung S95B for the first time. Although it looked great it was not that much greater than the other OLEDS there...........surely not enough to forsake a 77" TV. Right next to the Samsung QD was a Samsung QN90B MINI LED which I thought looked a lot better for the great majority of scenes. The only time the QD looked better were in very dark night or space scenes.

I had the exact opposite reaction but, I compared two 65 inch sets side by side. The QD-OLED had better contrast than the mini led but the mini led got brighter. This also seemed to start washing out the colours a bit. The colour on the oled is more intense , reds especially. Both were in vivid mode and set for shop display. The oled is way cleaner than the mini led and ironically cheaper to boot. As far as I could tell they are both using the exact same chipset.

I sure hope the A95K lives up to the hype, because people feel too comfortable that it will be perfect, only going off of Vincent’s video as well as only KZbin videos. I have the S95B and in person it’s amazing. All cameras are struggling to capture it’s brightness and blacks in person (the camera will either blow out the whites and etc, or under represent what we see in person as this isn’t an issue with past tvs). I suspect the A95K will struggle on camera also. I’m sure the A95K will be amazing also, but it will have its flaws as all tvs do including Sony. Also about the accuracy, the S95B can be adjusted to track way more accurately. Vincent also isn’t the only calibrator who checked the S95B, plus no one has calibrated it yet since we’re all breaking them in. It’s no where near as bad as people who never saw the tv in person are making it. Either way, no tv should be judged solely on KZbin. You must see all these tvs in person first.

You say "if it's not accurate then who cares what the picture looks like"? My answer to that is the millions of ppl that buy Samsung televisions which make Samsung the number one seller of televisions in the world. Lol!!! We need to take feelings out of the equation and understand that accuracy only matters in life and death situations such as giving grandma the right amount of insulin. Televisions are just inanimate objects that show a picture to the ppl that are watching. There's no right or wrong way to watch a movie or game on a television screen. If you like what you purchased, then keep it and enjoy it. Ppl shouldn't buy because someone is telling them the only correct way to view a picture is based off of "accuracy". What if "accuracy" to Mrs. Livingston looks dull and boring? I would always choose a LG or Samsung over Sony only because they have a use case for everyone. I mean Sony charges thousands more and for what? Picture accuracy and processing. Lol!!! They are just getting things right with VRR. LG C series was the best all around televisions in the OLED space and now Samsung will most likely take that crown in the QD-OLED space. In the end, just like there is no wrong way to eat a reeses, there's no wrong way to watch television or play video games.
