+hulksmash865 The optical cable will take whatever sound comes from your TV. So, your cable box/gaming console/blu-ray would still need to be connected to your TV (via HDMI port) .

Well both Soundbars are 300 watt, 2.1 channel surround sound. I know that the Samsung soundbar J450 can be paired with the Samsung Wireless Surround Kit (sold separately) to create a dynamic 4.1 channel audio system. So looking just at the 'surround sound' feature, I would go with the Samsung soundbar because you can upgrade it to 4.1 channel audio.

No, you just need to connect one or the other. Not both.

That's weird. It should work with the hdmi cord. Try changing your soundbar to 'HDMI' by pressing the 'Source' button on your remote control. Otherwise, try resetting the soundbar again.

Good question. Short answer is: No, you cannot connect your wireless headphones to Soundbar. There is no need to do that. Look at it this way...your Soundbar is being connected to your device eg. iPhone, android tablet, etc... So, if you wanted to connect your wireless headphones, just connect the headphones directly to your device.

Connect an HDMI cable from HDMI OUT (TV) jack on the back of the soundbar to HDMI IN port on your TV. Then, Connect an HDMI cable from HDMI OUT port on the PS4 to HDMI IN jack on the back of the soundbar.
