Samsung Support: Self-Repair Overview for Galaxy Book Pro 360

YESTERDAY, my Samsung Galaxy 360 Book 2 wouldn't wake up. This, the computer I primarily use and take for granted, was dead-in-the-water when I opened the screen. Usually it pops to life, already connected to the Internet. Yesterday it was lifeless. I went searching on the web and stumbled across the above video. I watched for a bit and realized that it wasn't addressing my problem. Or maybe it was... I figured my old laptop would be up to the chore for a while, so I decided to pull the solid-state drive, put it in a USB caddy and copy off my data. I got as far in the disassembly to unplugging the battery. As I pried off the battery cable, I noticed a bit of a stir from the CPU fan. I plugged the charger in, pushed the power button and it roared to life, right in the middle of a Windows Update (Hey Microsoft: How many other computers did you brick with your feature update?). 39 seconds into this video gave me enough knowledge confidence to take off the feet; they're designed to be removed and easily replaced. I removed the four screws from beneath the feet and easily popped off the bottom shell; the plastic tabs were designed to be easily opened, unlike anyone else's laptop. I popped out the battery and discovered all my laptop needed was a CMOS reset, which is accomplished by removing the battery cable while not charging. The whole repair took less than two minutes. This past weekend I was asked by Melanie, a friend and co-worker, what computer I would recommend. I said Samsung. I think I need to follow up with Melanie. I'm ever more impressed that Samsung wants me to know how to repair my computer.

This very important.. thankyou so much samsung.. last year i went to computer repair shop for keyboard replacement.. but they broke my fingerprint scanner cable. Now i am having very dificult to find the fingerprint scanner for this galaxy book pro 360.. still not find the fingerprint scanner in shops for sale.. if we have this like video there is no need to go for shops or no need another accidental repair.

So does Samsung, both are damaging our environment and are anti consumer... Apple Is locking parts and makes use of other anti repair tactics and Samsung is doing similar things, preventing you from buying spare displays, for example. This video is only there to help them greenwash their image.

Do you have to remove every part inside the computer to just replace the screen? My screen is broken so I need ti change it but I am unsure if I need to remove the battery completely while changing the screen?

@ I did not do it, just bought a MacBook hehe. I would guess probably at your own risk if you do not unplug the battery. Maybe try to wait till it is completely uncharged and change the screen then. Otherwise it can lead to short circuit.

@@huychau7551 Well, I'm not sure but logically thinking batteries and their design differs among companies and even in their series of laptops too. I think its better to use Samsungs, that way you won't worry if it works or not.
