That notification change is exactly like how it is on iPhone, and from personal experience, this is a strict downgrade for one-handability. I really hope there's a toggle in settings to opt out of this

The search bar at the bottom is something that should have been on android from the beginning. That's the main reason my primary internet browser is Samsung. Can make everything on the bottom within reach through settings. I install it on all my phones. Someone was thinking logically when they designed the usability and user experience and it shows.

This reminds me a lot of Honor's MagiOS. Also, the multitasking Apple uses today was copied from HP's webOS.

3:05 I think i will it this , because when i use the my S24U with one hand i have to stretch my thumb so hard to get to the left side or i have to take my other hand just to look at notifications. So i hope there will be an option to disable it and have the same we have now.

You can disable that in one ui 6.1.1 so that you don't have to have the panels on the right

Samsung already lets you customize the quick panel, including the left-right swipe sections via QuickStar, part of the Good Lock suite. They also let you double/triple backtap to pull down the notification or quick panel, among other actions... like Apple does.

iOS copies Android, Android copies iOS; it's to a point that the lines are getting very blurry for end users. The biggest differentiators now are the ecosystems and certain apps like texting and video calls which only work properly if you're in the same ecosystem as the person you are calling.

As a long time good lock user there are a lot of changes look like they could be done currently using good lock., I wonder if they are looking at the changes people are making with good lock and trying that in this new UI update.

I don't like OEM's copying Apple's look when it comes to software, at all. Hardware, I don't mind all that much. There is only so much a company can do in terms of a rectangular candy bar phone. Software though, options are endless. It's lazy and honesty, kind of sad.

But can they change the notifications to be listed in order they come in instead of the weird priority they have it? If i get a notification, i go to notifications and the newest notification isn't even there, its somewhere down the list. Drives me crazy

@@jahfeel59 you have always been able to change that. Go into notifications settings and change from "priority" to "time".

3:05 I absolutely hate that they are separating them and hope it can be changed back. Off all the differences between iOS and Android, my biggest dislike with iOS is having to swipe down on different sides of the screen for dofferent things. The swipe down twice no matter what part of the screen you're on method is superior.

Theyre selling on software now...these days theres not a SIGNIFICANT benefit to any of tese phones....loterally what do you prefer? Samsung (work-like phone), Google (stock little bloatware) or Apple (safe ..same ol same ol)

Honestly, I just wish they would abandon the One UI changes to interface once and for all. Just use the Pixel interface and pump it full of their extras. It has never looked remotely as good as AOSP or Google's interface for the Pixel line. The One UI interface is the only thing that I can't stand on my Flip 5, and I hated it on my S20 FE, too. It's just so ugly

Definitely the one reason I’ve never like Samsung phones even though they are usually better than google’s…. Google is simple the apple of android when it comes to interface

I love One UI's look and one hand focused UX. Pixel's UI looks uglier imo.

Pixel is awful for one-handability. It's awful for many things, but especially that. OneUI is better is so many ways. If you don't like the looks, you can change pretty much all of them through Good Lock and Theme Park.

Agreed. At least you can change launchers/icons on android. That helps alleviate that issue somewhat. Still though, it's ugly in comparison.
