Unfortunately, the lock function on your Samsung top load washer can malfunction, leaving your laundry load stuck inside. In this scenario, here is how to troubleshoot the problem:
• Press the Start/Pause button and power cycle the washer by unplugging it for one minute before turning it back on.
• If this does not work, check that the water level is not too high. Its frequency should not be over 23.80 KHz.
• Likewise, check the drum temperature. It should not be higher than 140ºF or 60ºC.
• If these readings are normal, remove the plastic drain hose holder and drain the washer.
• If the LO message is still visible, check the door lock coil's output voltage. If it is 120V, your washer's door lock switch needs replacing, and if not, your unit's PCB is faulty and needs replacement by a technician.
