Hey Steve, just writing to say hi, I got my Samsung ru7100 based on your review a while back and it's been great as you mentioned. Anyways, since then I subscribed and always enjoy watching your reviews, even though I'm currently not looking for any new TV 😂.

I have the 8000 as a 75” and noticed that the lower right corner is bent/warped slightly toward the viewer. Can only see this when looking down the side of the tv. No issue with picture. I’m wondering about it because apparently the box handle tore when Best Buy was taking delivery. Best Buy employee told me this. No other damage to the box was apparent. I looked carefully. No damage on the bottom of box. Wondering if this slight bend/warp is possible in manufacturing. I don’t see any physical damage to the tv. That being said, I like the TV. I upgraded from a cheap Black Friday 55” element so big improvement.

it drives me crazy that the remote for the TU8000 seems to have so few buttons, but in all honesty I probably won't need it for anything more than source switching anyway. I'm quite happy you made this comparison video as I couldn't find too much on product pages. This tells me that I'd be quite happy with the TU8000.

Why does the horse look more detailed and better shading on the older model? The coat of the rider is more color accurate on the newer, but the shadowing on the horse is missing on the newer including the veins on the leg.

Steve can you help me out please? I have a TU8000 50 inch but I can't find Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa on the same TV, all it shows is voice hint and bixby settings on the screen. Is it because I live in asia or there is some other settings to enable it?

DO NOT BUY THE TU8000 TV!!! Check Samsung's community oage; there are hundreds of complaints about this TV model going into bootloops less than 2 years after purchase. Dont make the same mistake I did in purchasing this TV. Samsung will not repair outside of the 1 year warranty, and of course all of them seem to be dying around the 2 year mark.

Got rid of our Samsung TU7000 a week ago when I got my LG C1. It was a good tv but it just wasnt what I wanted and HDR was a major disappointment. But for gaming and SDR movies it wasnt bad. Our roommate is leaving behind his 49inch TU7000 when he moves so my wife is going to use it for gaming only. But I am done with LED and from now on its OLED only when it comes to movies ect.
