Interestingly the warmer looking TV is what most film industries/artists intend their films to be viewed in. Colour and white levels are more accurate with a warmer panel. Most OLED and QLED TVs often have recommendation to change colour tones to warm or expert (even more warm). Dolby vision presets for example always gives the picture a warmer tone, you'll realize it makes the film more life like rather than artificially pretty.

@Rob The side-by-side images in Tech Steve's video, plus his comment multiple times that if you have the money the q60a is the better set. The comments about the brightness and trueness of color. The q60a also has some more advanced features on the interface. I also thought about it this way: a TV lasts 10 years, and you watch it on average 3 hours a day (your mileage may differ) that's about 11,000 hours of total viewing time. So the $280 is an additional $28 per year, or about 2.5 cents per viewing hour. Adding all that up it seemed worth it to me to play it safe and just shell out a few more bucks.

Hi Tech Steve. To have to start doing reviews on larger screens not these smaller screens. Because of you I purchased the 65in Q60A and happy with it. Then I went out to get the 75 inch Q60A and it was so bad I packed it up and rook it back to the screen. There was such a noticable difference is n picture quality from the 65 to 75 it was not the same TV. The smaller the better the picture. You have to do 55 and above. Not these little TVs with a perfect picture.

I think they are both really good for their price points. The Q60A looks amazing, but I wouldn't feel short changed on a AU8000 if I didn't have the funds to spend more. We brought the AU9000 for the lounge last week, it's clearly a very capable TV, but we didn't mind sacrificing the extras, as it's generally used for the kids playing Xbox Series S or 360 or for light entertainment. The home office/game room has a QN95 on the wall along with PS5 and Xbox Series X which we really wanted the extra function such as VRR and 120HZ. Overall, there's no regrets from us, just depends on your budget and what you are willing to pay. Good video Steve, thank you!

My 43 AU8000 have AV input (red and white and yellow) , and it have a satellite antenna input too,as well as normal antenna, also it has ambient mode and pc on tv, its region is egypt. also the indicator stickers on the back are white and not black like these ones in the video.🙌❤️❤️

While the Q60A looks better than the AU8000, it is a less significant step-up in visual compared to going from TU8000 to AU8000, IMO. For the basic user, the AU8000 looks to be the best value entry-level TV. Everything else above it looks to be paying a lot more for a bit more improvement in visuals.

Steve, love your reviews. I purchased 3 Q60A TV’s but unfortunately 2 of 3 have small screen defects. One a 32” has a grey spot about the size of a small grain of rice another, a 65” has a similar spot and also a small thin black line about 1/16” long. Have you ever seen these type of issues on Q60, other Samsungs or new TV’s in general?

I haven’t but the electric market is all over the place with COVID, quality control is all over the place right now

@@TechSteve Thanks for your reply! I’m exchanging the two units in hopes of getting ones with no defects as I like this model otherwise because of it’s minimalist design, brightness and good colors!

Hey man really need your help real quick - ur probably the only one who can answer this straight up. I got a choice between Samsung Q60A VS Samsung AU9007 - which is a newer one with game mode and hdmi2.1 120hx at fhd 6hx at 4k and i think brighter screen than the Au8000 series. With all this in mind - which do you recommend???

I have AU9000.. most of the Q60A features are there and I use it as laptop monitor with minimum brightness it’s great

@@redskull8033 I havn’t had them next to each other i bought it online.. colour rendering I’m sure it is better than au8000 as I watched 4K movies in different setting and Standard is good enough but Dynamic is even better.. it is £100+ more than au8000 and it has the wireless pc streaming like q60a
@phar20103 жыл бұрын
@@al3abqari I bought the AU9000. Terrible clouding on the screen visible on dark screens like movie or TV credits. I've had to return and have upgraded to the Q65a which I hope will be better quality.

@@phar2010 sorry to hear that about the au9000.. i’ve seen the colour rendering number for au9000 & Q65a it is almost double so things off for a good start.. i hope you enjoy it

Was not really shown in the video, connecting a windows 10 PC to these TVs is pretty easy through the 'Notifications' pop up (located right of the clock on the start menu) then press Connect. Once the TV is found and selected on the computer you will need to allow access on the TV for it to connect. But it does a perfect job of mirroring via Wifi. No HDMI required, which is great for the Surface Pro as you need an extra connector to go from USB-C to HDMI.

I read alot of complaints of poor speaker quality especially from Q60a. Did I miss your take on that?...Also read KZbin app does not work on AU8000 because of tvs software. Hope to hear your take on that too. Thanks in advance.
@TechSteve3 жыл бұрын
KZbin works fine on the AU8000 I have. I’m amazed that people still use TV speakers at all, I have never done it accept when moving as a temporary fix.

Which would you rather have for a bedroom set? Any others you would recommend more in the same price range? Primarily for TV shows, movies and no gaming.

Tech Steve, I’m trying to decide between Samsung 75” TU7000, Au8000 or Q60A QLED from Costco for $850, $950 or $1,150. I am a value oriented customer and not into video gaming. Just an average user- 1080 cable for sports, online subscriptions Netflix, Hulu, prime, you tube and occasionally Movies from PS4. they are all within my budget range, but if I am not going to use all the extra benefits from Q60 I would rather save my money. But if the TU7000 and AU 8000 will be obsolete a lot sooner than Q60, I might as well pay that $300 extra now. In your expert opinion which one should I get? They are all on sale right now before 2022 models come out. Also, should I wait for another month or so until 2022 models come out for bigger sales on these 2021 models? Thank you!
