Greetings, Jimmy. I have a skyworth TV whose model is 32E3000 that from nowhere has no light on display. When in a dark room would see the faint pictures and without sound issues. Had to open it and follow up the screen LED wires but upon testing with my meter on Diode mode, I get absolutely no value. Could that be the cause? ( I have a defective LED or is something else?) Hi Jimmy, I have a Samsung Flat Panel TV model #LN40A630M1FXZA that's having an issue. When turning on the TV - after it's been off for the night - the screen turns green with white horizontal lines and a screech that's deafening. I have a Samsung plasma pn43e450a1fxza that has a small nick on the screen with 2 fine horizontal lines. I discovered the nick shortly after purchasing the unit less then 2 years ago. Today with no warning I powered on the unit and multiply red vertical lines appears for a second. The screen went black with a steady red power light. Samsung said basic on my description and prior service call that the screen needs it to be replaced. At $500 a new unit sounds like the answer. Labor cost of $180 sounds like a new unit to me. What do you think?

Hi, I have a Samsung 56"#HL56A650cifxza. It is cutting on and off continuously. I saw other videos that said the capacitors were the problem. So I bought a used board instead of the capacitors and replaced the board. All the capacitors on the old board did look ok. It did not fix the problem. I see u have this kit to repair the main boards but do not know if it pertains to my TV. Please let me know a part number and I will get the kit and try this fix. I hate to put this big TV out in the garage. lol, I put my old 36" flat screen tube back up in the living room and it weights a ton. Thanks for any help. I also saw where a person taped the little switch that is on the side of the cabinet but that did not fix the cutting on and off either.

I've got a Samsung plazma pn58a550s1fxza that is having issues starting up, picture never comes in and there is a terrible screeching after a minute or so. I replaced any bulged caps, and when I disconnected the main board and put the TV into self test by jumping test points 3 and 4 on the logic board all of the test patterns showed fine. Would a kit like this fix my problem, or would I more likely need to swap the entire main board?

I have a 46" LCD TV that was showing green lines / static (vertical) and loud beep buzzing at start up. It would sometimes turn off and on repeatedly a few times and then work fine once it was finally warmed up. I replaced all my power board's capacitors, but this didn't solve the problem. So I then found this video after finding the kit on shop jimmy... I did buy the whole kit, but I only replaced the capacitor on the back of the main board, i dind't mess with the other two chips... I used a radial capacitor instead of the standard flat one that it shipped with. I also didn't ahve a heat gun so i used a soldering iron to losen the bad capacitor. Once I replaced it, the TV fired right back up with out any issues.

Hi Jimmy, I have symptom 3. My Samsung ua40d6000smxxy, I plug it in, and the red light comes on. I hit the remote or touch sensitive button on screen edge and no action on screen but led blinds 5 times in two quick flashes, then repeat, no clicking, no stuffed caps, just blinking. Can't find any schematics for it. What do I replace on the main board? Bn41-01587d?? Power board is good. Got a kit jimmy? Any suggestions?

I purchased the BN4100975b repair kit and my mainboard has a resistor where your board shows a capacitor (C102 in kit). I would replace IC101 if I knew that it would not be damaged by failure to replace a capacitor somewhere else on the board. Please advise. I have a photo of the board but the web page does not offer a way to upload it. I also noticed that a user asked the same question a year ago and it appears to have been ignored.

Question answered! I found a different users video using this same repair kit on a different TV and it showed the same component layout as my TV's mainboard. I was mistaking the cap (c102) for a resistor. The numbers c102 are not visible on the board until you remove IC101. The ShopJimmy repair cap is a different color and size but will will probably be a better part than the original. Hope this helps some other confused hack, LOL.

Carlos Ruiz: If it's C, then it's definitely a capacitor. It's possible that the one in the video is a surface mount electrolytic capacitor which is polarized. Hence the stripe. The replacement part is not electrolytic and doesn't need to be fit on a certain way. Don't know for sure, but that's my best guess :)

I have my own soldering iron and everything else needed to perform soldering. I was planning on sending this to an Ebay vendor for repair but I have been reading that if you hit the components on the back of the board with a resolder it can fix the problem. Because if I hit my tv with a hair dryer it works for like 20 minutes then goes out, I really feel like I could just hit the sides of the solder looking for a cold joint.

Hi there I’m looking for a repair kit for my Samsung UA46ES8000RAXA my TV switches on, displays picture for a split second then scrambles to virtual lines then reboots, and does this for some time, eventually the picture will stay on but sometimes I never get picture then pull plug, pull both hdmi sources out, reboot after 30min, then plug in satellite via hdmi then this usually helps. I changed 2 bad capacitors , I had correct va and vs voltages , connected to a home made current limit , turned the tv on , could hear the click and chime and see the (no signal) for a sec. then clicked off. After trying few times , now only clicks on and in 2 sec. clicks off even i disconnect all other boards. Do you have a power supply and main board repair kit for my model tv? Hello, my UE75UF6470U Samsun television has a black screen. When I turned it on the red led blinks 5 times and no image and no sound. When I losen powerconnector 16 going to the mainboard and the subcon board the backlight turned on. When I put it back the backlight switch off. When I afterward disconnects the powercable only on the subcon board the backlight is on again. My remote can switch on/off the TV. When I powered it on again the red led blinks again 5 times. When i connect a TV input signal I don't have image or sound. When I only remove the power connector 14 to the Tcon (not the sub-tcon) also no backlight. I have a samsung LA 40B530P7R, Main Board BN44 00264C . When I first turn it on the red infra red light blinks and sometimes the backlight comes on and sometimes not. If I leave it on for at least 20 minutes or more and then turn it off , it will not turn back on with the red light blinking. If I unplug the TV for an hour or so it will come back on . The Audio is working fine just no Backlight. I replaced 90% of the capacitors but no change. What could be the problem ???

jimmy : judging by further research, just the two parts on the back of the board are related to the distorted picture and squeal. It seems the third part in this is related to audio inputs. I haven't looked at part numbers yet to verify, but I'm reasonably sure this kit will fix it and it wouldn't hurt to do all of the parts since they're all known to go bad.

Hi, I found your channel Very Good. I have a Sony Bravia (kdl-32p5600 - serial no 4317708), I have already buy a new Samsung tv, and work fine, but I want still repair the Sony. The tv turn on and off without problem you can also navigate the menu very well, you can change channel but every channel is black if try a new search channel sometimes finish in 5 minutes sometimes request 30 minutes but at the end shows "no channel found" and if try to connect everything to tv like Bluray, Pc, Videorecorder, Usb key nothing happen. I found 4 capacitor a little convex in motherboard, two 35v 220 and other two "9T 470 ELA" (that i don't understand the voltage). Any tip? Can you help me? Thanks for your time. I have a Samsung ln52A550 where the red light blink, blink, blink then 30 minutes later picture came on. It stayed on for 10 minutes then shut itself on and off several times. Then, screeching sound with no picture. What part do I need. FYI, I already replaced the power board already.

Dear sir My sony bravia led tv i facing a problem. When i power on the tv its on properly but after some seconds i see tv screen off and red light blinking 6 times. After i switch off the main power and wait and restart the tv again i see the picture is showing but after some second again tv off and no picture and red light blinking. I repeat same procedure 8 to 10 times after i found tv run contenues properly and no problem. So please help me the what is the problem with my tv. Thanks.

I have the BN97-0247C for the Samsung LN52A630M1FXZA. The TV would restart a lot and after weeks of doing that it won't even start. It just blinks. So will replacing these components on that board definitely fix the problem? I'm thinking about getting the kit I just want to be fully sure.

Informative but WAY too far away. There's no reason to no zoom in all the way--all the time--and fill the screen with the chip you're working on. For example when you show the solder flow and position the chips, THAT'S how close we want to see. Showing the whole board once for location of the components is fine but after that--up close please.
