Hi Jimmy. What should the DC output to the LED's be on our power supply? (Part number: BN44-00666D)

Thanks for the video; very well done. I have this exact TV with the same number on the power supply board. The voltages on the board are good with the Conn. Disconnected, and read about 108 volts with all of the LED's on when connected. When I operate the remote it seems to be entering the commands as the red LED on the front panel blinks with each entry, but the screen just shows a dark blue glow. I swapped the main board from this TV in to a working UN32EH4003F (no XZA) as they were the same and it worked, so I know the main board is okay. I also swapped the ribbon cable from the good TV into the bad one with no change. The power supply boards were quite different even though the connectors we're the same. I put the power supply from the good TV into the bad one and the TV turned on, but the screen was black, and the LED's did not light up. I was afraid that I might end up with two broken TV'S if I put the power supply from the bad TV into the good one, so I didn't. I don't know the number of the power supply board in the working TV, nor did I check the voltages as I found your video after putting it back together. Do you think my power supply is bad, or could it be the long thin board attached to the main board and the screen via ribbon cables? It's the only other thing left. Thank you for your time and attention.

Same problem. You fix it?
@bradmckinney76032 жыл бұрын
@@36USMC No' i ended up replacing both the power supply and the main board and neither one fixed it. I suspect that the small circuit board attached to the screen with ribbon cables was bad. it was the only thing left, but the ribbon cables were soldered on so I decided I had spent enough time and money on it already, and trashed it all.

If number 1 test points gets voltage but number 2 test point gets 0 volts with the led cable disconnected what does that mean.

Hi Jimmy I have a Samsung 40 inch TV model numberLN40E550F7F. It has no picture but sound. It has no backlight. When turning on the TV it passes the flashlight test and has a picture. I removed the back cover and checked the power board for visual defects and could not see any. I checked for voltages similar to the way you checked them in the above video. My voltage when the tv is on is 0 to the LED's. When powering on the TV there is a faint click and the LED's turn on for a split second and a voltage spike up to 49 volts and then down again to 0.With the plug for the LED's disconnected from the power supply there is 0 voltage when on and 0 voltage when turning the TV on. With the info you have supplied in all your videos i am presuming it is a power supply problem. With the info i have provided could you confirm my findings.

I have a 46 inch samsung led tv. When I disconnect the led connector and measure the voltage on the power supply board I get 220 volt on two pins. Is it too high? Because you were getting close to 190 volt.

I have a UN32EH4003F with DF320AGH-R1 panel and BN44-0664A that has LED connector labelled 1: D+ 2: S- 3: NC 4: S+ 5: D-. If I check for voltage over D1 & D- pins I get 170V, but I get 0V over S- & S+ pins. Same result if I have the backlight plugged in or not. Does this indicate faulty power supply?

I have same labels and I found pins 2, 3 and 4 are connected together and goes nowhere (unless this is multilayer board, but I doubt it), so in our TV's LEDs gets the power only from the pins 1 and 5, so if you have high voltages plugged and unplugged it is rather LEDs problem
@te71se5 ай бұрын
@@krzyhoo2 indeed - I took a stab in the dark and ordered up LED's and that fixed it. Not bad for a TV saved from the dumpster that cost $20 to fix.

I am about to take my 75 inch Samsung TV to a repair shop to have this type of job done. It sucks I know I can probably fix it myself but the truth is I don’t want to break it in the process. How much $$ am I looking at to have this type of diagnosis and fix done? Any dancers appreciated.

1) What is considered "normal voltage"? 2) I have three (positive) test points. Only one of them gives a reading of 160v. The other two are showing 0v. Is that an indication of a bad power supply board? (LED connector is unplugged.)

@CTCTraining15 жыл бұрын
Yes, there is often a restocking fee to accept back and re-test returned items before they can be put back on sale .. spotting damage and swapped items can be tricky. I guess some of the big sellers with lots of equipment and free staff time might be able to absorb this cost but would be an issue for smaller sellers without tamper-evident packaging.
