Regardless of how they played I have never seen a stronger chemistry between the big three(roger, Novak, and Rafa) like this ever. All three of them respect each other so much and it's amazing just how good friends all of them are. It just makes me feel so good that these legendary players are so happy to play with each other and hang out with each other considering their legendary and fierce rivalry.

You might have replied to the wrong comment there. I made no mention of Djokovic at all and I didn´t blame anyone for the loss. And yes, I actually agree with most of your points: when it´s a team game, both are at fault for losing.

BANGTAN FOREVER not putting the blame on novak, the strategy is just wrong. playing djokovic at the net was never a great idea, he should be at the baseline where he plays at his best. who comes up with the strategy? the captain? if so, then he is to be blamed

Federer's reflexes at such age are astonishing, no wonder he's an accomplished doubles player. Perhaps he should play doubles once he retires from singles tour, win a few slams there :) . Djoker's game is not fit for doubles but, all-in-all, very fun to watch them play together which was the whole point of this teaming (after the legendary Roger-Rafa doubles last year).

The Laver Cup best tennis event ever , great spirit , great matches , superb competition , not easy on top players who spent their life building a defensive wall with bricks of tricks and tactics against every single opponent , some of them will come out weaker and others stronger from this long weekend , Federer will always shine no matter what , can't wait to see kyrgios in action , I have the feeling that he is going to win his two singles matches against Federer and Djokovic .

So a creative legend with the best tennisser that can"t make mistakes. If they practised together to understand each other, they would be unbeatable. I mean, you got Djokovic that can break anyones serve and a guy that can mindread his opponents and can be very unpredictable.

Federer and Djokovic have terrible chemistry; there were many instances where one let it go thinking the other would get to it and that caused them to lose the point. Still, it was something people wanted to see so the fans went home happy.

Two matches were so tight, though the results were different. This couldn't evidence that Fedal's chemistry was better than Fedjokovic's. Also you have to consider who stood on the other side of the court at each match.

Byung Lee I also talked about chemistry in another comment. In my case what I meant was the way they were at ease with each other, no tension, good body language (I like to notice little details). Today after a while Novak and Federer were more.... friendly but comparing last year's match it was totally different. They hugged, they high fived each other, encourage each other and much more. Even if they had lost, they still would have had more chemistry, I wasn't referring to chemistry in playing together but how they act around each other on the same side of the net.

I'm a Rafa fan but this comment is not biased... I watched the Fedal doubles last year and now this. Apart from the funny moment... the chemistry between Rafa and Roger is miles away from Novak and Federer. You can see from the small things, I re-watched lat's year's match just to make sure I remembered correctly and... yep... you can clearly see how easy was for them to play together (meaning not awkward, not even for a moment). They are NOT friends by any means but you can see the respect they have for each other. Today was certainly a special occasion, but the hype there was last year was UNBEATABLE. And even being the first time playing together, adjusting things as they went along, they still managed to win ;) Legends are legends not just for the titles, but for the love people have for these two.
@KeepCalmAndTravel
@KeepCalmAndTravel 6 жыл бұрын
Michael Zhu No no wait, you completely misunderstood! :) I'm talking about chemistry not in regards of their game but as two individuals. They didn't even play that well last year, but still managed to win, and even if they had lost, if you pay attention to the body language... how they encouraged each other naturally... I see these small things and today there weren't between Nole and Roger. With Rafa, Federer was a lot more relaxed, that's what I was pointing out. (I'm the same person who wrote the first comment, just forgot to use my official account)

Easy because Federer and Nadal they have so much respect to each other. They treat each other at the same level. Whereas Federer and Djokovic, it seems theres a barrier between them and seems like they also dont like each other. I dont think Federer respect Djokovic like how he treat Nadal.
@KeepCalmAndTravel
@KeepCalmAndTravel 6 жыл бұрын
izdyhar82 That was my first impression too. I like to see the very small details like the look they gave to each other (except for the laughter when Nole tried to kill Federer) :D Also the way Federer and Nadal were introduced to the public, the words the commentators used, the encouragement Federer gave Rafa when he missed a point... many many things that clearly indicate that even if they are not friends, they genuinely respect each other. Plus the hype from the fans and, they even create the FedalUTD hashtag for the occasion. Nothing of this happened this year.

When Roger was serving or at the net they looked like they were cruising, when Novak was at the net it was a completely different story. Novak is unbeatable on the baseline, he should build a home there.

Much slower version of ping-pong and on stretched table, likely allows much less precise people to shine. Doubles is different as that is much more ping-ponging prone on the net and you always wish your racket to be shorter because of that, so likely people with shorter arms will shine on the net :D
