As a Brit, I can say you did a very good job. I'd give you an 8.5 out of 10. You lose half a mark for serving it on a board. Another half for not having a cup of builders tea to wash it down and a final half mark for not having a stinking hangover when you ate it as this is when a full English really comes into its own.

Good call. Should really be served on a plate with a small chip in it for proper authenticity, and tea is essential. A drop or two of vinegar on the bubble, and, that bread looked suspiciously posh for my liking. Other than that, this is pretty much the best effort I have ever seen from a left-pondian at our breakfast. I would wolf that down in a heartbeat, especially with a sufficient hangover.

Sam the Blood pudding as you call it is also Polish Kiska. I was raised on this near Pittsburgh, Pa. The skin that we would get is thin and also black and made with beef blood. We would fry it very slow, turning it to get it crispy, and trying not to break it open in the pan. When done, take it out, and cut it open. We would put Heinz ketchup on it with your side of sunny side up eggs. It is good cold, but don't cut it into pc until cold, leave to skin on it. Try some Sam, you will Like It ! As a Brit, this fry-up gains my seal of approval, looks great! One thing I would say is that I think Sam (and a lot of other non-Brits) are a bit confused about the word "banger". Yes, we have the dish "bangers and mash" which is sausages and mashed potato but outside of this context nobody really calls sausages bangers in the UK. In the same way that the "toad" in "toad in the hole" is sausage, but that doesn't mean toad is a general term for sausage.

As an American who spends a lot of time in England & Scotland, I can say that you pretty much nailed this 100%. Very well done, sir! I see some of your British followers commenting that the only thing missing is tea. Sadly, I'm not a tea person (silly American), but a tall glass of apple juice is *chef's kiss* perfect.

It’s a working mans breakfast, they used to eat it early in the morning before work with their mates and it allowed them to work all day without stopping for lunch apart from a small snack. Then get home say 7/8pm after a full days manual labour.

Looks like you cooked up a great breakfast there, hope you enjoyed it and I am glad you made the effort to get the correct bacon, sausage and beans to make it authentic. Fun fact, you are correct that they are called banger's at times but the term dates back to WW2, because of food shortages the butcher would mix the meat with all sorts of things i.e breadcrumbs... they used to explode big time back then apparently. Like you said people do suggest poking holes in them these days and it does work, a couple of prods with a fork on either side of a sausage should stop them banging.

I gotta say that looks about as authentic as you can get - just add a nice brew (mug of tea) - British Citizenship in the post! One of the greatest things about the full English is that everything goes well with everything else so you can pretty much marry any permutation of ingredients into a delicious bite making the possibilities endless.

As a Brit it’s funny to hear you mention the effort needed. It must be bred into us over time, I’d say most brits can smash out a full English for your average family of four in about 30mins on a Sunday morning, all while nursing a hangover 🇬🇧💪🏻😂
