The thing I love about Sam is that he always gives an alternative cooking method for we smoker-less folk! He’s like the Marines of cooking shows….he leaves no one behind!!!
@debbiestimac51755 ай бұрын
...as the daughter of a United States Marine, break out your gas grill, layer the bottom with thick aluminum foil and lay down some charcoal briquettes on one side, the down wind side. That way you have a cool side and a hot side to bbq your meat with smoke without having to buy a smoker. I use half self lighting charcoal on the top and half regular cheap briquettes on the bottom, no more buying lighter fluid and risk that off taste from too much soaking in and ruining the flavor later. The next day wrap up the burnt down briquettes and discard with zero mess! Improvise... adapt... and overcome! (Marine Corps mantra, when dealing with cast off Navy gear)

Lmao when Sam brought up the condiments, man.. I'm a hoarder of different ones for no reason. My wife insists I just want to find something new that tastes good on a regular hotdog. My latest favorite is sweet chili sauce. I do love that a lot of Western supermarkets nowadays are expanding their "ethnic" food aisles to be more inclusive so you don't have to order online or take a trip to a specialty store.
