@@prasunkumar1125 from a long shot its comedic, but a close shot its tragic lol Edit:just imagine going for a date then end up almost being eaten alive then to wake up being a half ghoul of a monster and having to adapt to living as a ghoul from eating to fighting, then being tortured, mental trauma and your whole view of the world turns to shit, then you get more mental trauma to realize whats the point of having more strength if you can't protect someone else let alone yourself then going panic to protect everyone that you loved from an all out attack on a city on ghouls then after managing to save them only to be thrown around like a ragdoll and get stabbed in the eyes and going through amnesia and clawing out the walls and your eyes, then you forget your past self and becoming a completely different person, only to then hear and see voices of your own past original personality trying to take over and over, then only to confront "your"self of yourself then to realize this new person of you is nothing but a sweet dream of a paradise that you want to be but reality sucks so the you takes over and you surrender to him. Now you are you again fully but now suicidal and puzzled of all the memories and different times of life you've been through then to go through more mental trauma and another one and another one (def not DJ Khalid doing this shit) then ended up being the person to bring humans and ghouls together AND *SOMEHOW GET A HAPPY ENDING, a happy family* Bro this shit is so funny yet so dark af XD

Tokyo Ghouls is truly one of the best, if not the best. The manga and even the anime are amazing, I don't know how to explain it but it's as if you were kaneki without really being him. Tokyo Ghoul is one of, if not my favorite series of all time. The characters, story, arcs, symbolism, it’s all amazing. Sui Ishida crafted an amazing story that sadly hasn’t gotten the adaptation it deserves (even though Yutaka Yamada composed the amazing soundtracks) I hope everyone that’s seen the anime ends up reading the manga as it provides such a different experience. Thank you for doing a cover of this track Samuel, your work is incredible as always.

I'm crying. I remember the day when I first discovered Tokyo Ghoul. It's the first time I genuinely love (not romantically) a male character for who he is personally. Before I knew it, growing up I'm starting to realize how parallel my and Kaneki's situation, specially the part where he becomes Haise and he split into more versions of him. I thank Ishida-sensei for making me feel not alone.

This is coming from an EXTREME Tokyo Ghoul fan. Tokyo Ghoul was something extremely special to me because I discovered it as I was a teenager, an edgy one sure, but this series helped me learn something. As I got older, I decided to read the manga and was impressed by something I already loved. Tokyo Ghoul means a lot to me when it comes to the emotions the journey puts you on when you experience it. And I want to say that while the original captures the feel of the series in a different way, more of focusing on Kaneki and his struggle against the Darkness of the world, you captured the feeling of everyone he had to support him on his journey, and the power of the Light in Tokyo Ghoul.

Finally. All my life I have been listening to this melody at least once a week. I played it on guitar and piano and wished I could also play it on somewhat else. I consider this soundtrack to be one of the best anime music compositions ever composed. Everytime it gives me chills, tingles, joy and tears, every kind of emotion. Sometimes I was laying at night without sleep, thinking about how so much unrecognised and underestimated art is buried there under the weight of people's misperceptions and preconvictions, about how true beauty is often really close to you and all it takes is one sincere try, one shot to the anime, that almost everyone hates. If there ever will be another Tokyo Ghoul anime, all the soundtracks and openings from the previous adaptations should be absolutely used there too. There should be a public petition for that, or something. Now I can only prey it will come true. Thank you, Kim, for this wonderful version of one of the best musical compositions I have heard in my life

I love Kaneki, we both just try to be happy and live a normal life but it always ends up badly. Becoming a monster each day, while we suffer deep inside because we look back and see how kind and caring our old selves are. Loosing sight of who we are, what we want. Disregarding our own dreams and passion just for the sake of making others happy, trying to be better. But still ends up entangled with our cruel fate. The difference is he gets a happy ending.

Plot The story follows Ken Kaneki, a student who barely survives a deadly encounter with Rize Kamishiro, his date who reveals herself as a ghoul and tries to eat him. He is taken to the hospital in critical condition. After recovering, Kaneki discovers that he underwent a surgery that transformed him into a half-ghoul. This was accomplished because some of Rize's organs were transferred into his body, and now, like normal ghouls, he must consume human flesh to survive. Ghouls who run a coffee shop called "Anteiku" (あんていく) take him in and teach him to deal with his new life as a half-ghoul. Some of his daily struggles include fitting into the ghoul society, as well as keeping his identity hidden from his human companions, especially from his best friend, Hideyoshi Nagachika. The prequel series Tokyo Ghoul [Jack] follows the youths of Kishō Arima and Taishi Fura, two characters from the main series who become acquainted when they join forces to investigate the death of Taishi's friend at the hands of a ghoul, leading to Taishi eventually following Arima's path and joining the CCG (Commission of Counter Ghoul), the federal agency tasked into dealing with crimes related to ghouls as well. The sequel series Tokyo Ghoul:re follows an amnesiac Kaneki under the new identity of Haise Sasaki (the result of horrific brain damage sustained from Kishō Arima). He is the mentor of a special team of CCG investigators called "Quinx Squad" that underwent a similar procedure as his, allowing them to obtain the special abilities of Ghouls in order to fight them but still being able to live as normal humans.

TG and TG :RE is one manga I'll always be proud of reading. People do not give enough credit it deserves. I guess it is not everyone's cup of tea. But I think someday this series will get the recognition it deserves. Ahead of it's time, TG.

A truly beautiful soundtrack from a very interesting anime. I actually just finished it for the first time in my life a few months ago, and it had its ups and downs, but one that that stood out (aside from stellar animation) was the impactful music throughout the series. If you’d ever consider it, I would love to hear you do some of the music from Black Clover, as well as the classic Disney movie Treasure Planet. You are very skilled! Love the vids.
