I'm a pretty focused on Europe and the middle east in my studies. I've certainly come to know how violent the then was to the now. From the constant threat of raids to the semi indoctrination of violence in the elite. I've come to know it, and it does make me want to know how these people think. What is the world view and expectation of the fighting man. You're a fine man, the histories are important. The description reminds me of Laughing Shall I Die, a great book on the mindset of our ever so cool vikings. Favorite of mine, I suspect yours will be a favorite Edit, your book just came in, got the hardback. Just a few in, and the similarities and differences reveal themselves quickly. Excellent work, you aught to be proud. I have a number of books to read, then I fully intend to buy more from you

OK GUYS! I got ACs new book. Its good! Its enlightening. Adds to the yin-yang balance of the philosophy and principles of bushido. Meaning that; in some eras primarily the Edo Meiji era, to the 20th century, bushido was about the 'do'. THIS BOOK, deals with Bushido more from the 'mind of man' in opposed to the 'principle of heaven.' However, I wish AC would have chosen a little better graphic for the cover man! Cover graphic doesn't work for me. Title is great. I would have purchased the book solely on the title alone. Great read though.
