+jay Duron the thing is that both scenes are very very similar and the reason because Ashi and Nia dissapeared is the same "if the enemy is destroyed she can't exist" Nia couldn't exist if the anti-spiral dies and Ashi couldn't exist if Aku dies, and also Ashi survived until the wedding day just like Nia did

Do want to note, I don't think Samurai jack had a good ending, things were too rushed and predictable the moment Ashi became a love interest. She didn't need to become a love interest, honestly I think that hurt the show in the end. But hey, let's go with it's okay that she was a love interest, but it wasn't handled that well, but I'd guess it's due to the limited amount of episodes, but due to it, the ending wasn't that impactful, not to mention it pretty much all cliche/tropes at that point.

considering how much shit went down, and the series actually did end in 22 minutes, I think it was a good ending. not a perfect ending, but he did it. he made it back to the past. thats all many of us wanted. thats what we got. I'm satisfied.

I honestly thought she was going to end up as like a young female sidekick to Jack, though what they did with it was good enough I guess. At least he got back to the past, he basically erased everyone from the future but hey :)

+Jay Duron i think what meant was that since the first time portal(made from aku) stopped his aging and making him semi-immortal(never ages but can still be killed) then the second aku time portal fully making him immortal

ikeno9 I understand. I was thinking it would have taken away his eternal youth he gained, since he was going to the past and not the future. You know maybe that's how it's suppose to work, think about it if I were to go to the future(or past) and got stuck there for years, then it would be convenient if I didn't age so that when I return to my time I can finally age once again. That's just my theory. Also, why did Ashi die? I have two possibilities, but I'm unsure, would you know how it works.

The whole Ashi disappearing at the end felt unnecessary to me. Like, maybe since she absorbed some of Aku's powers, it would allow her to continue. Maybe a movie would fix it? Idk. Happy that it finally got an ending though.

What I wanted was....Aku (dead but not really) Ashi still has the black Aku skin after they traveled back. They get married and the black skin seemingly disappears. Ashi still in the timeline for some reason. The scene with Jack looking at the distance but Ashi is sleeping beside him. The lady bug lands on Jack and when he looks at it. It's Aku taunting him, something like you thought you killed me? HA HA HA!!! Seriously...if you rewatch the episode where Jack fights Aku for the first time...1 The sword hurts him...can't kill him. He even says to Jack....When your daddy tried to kill me with that sword it didn't work and it won't work again. He's cut Aku many times in the previous seasons but not killing him. How does sealing him in the sword and then banging it on the floor destroy Aku? That shit doesn't make any sense. If he destroyed the sword with Aku in it, maybe...but the sword was intact.

Enzo Matrix I think him banging it into the ground after he cut him up and it engulfing everything was how they were trying to explain destroying Aku and his influence. It didn't really make a lot of sense to me. I would have rather seen Aku burn away after the final blow.

OTBWY I don't think he's god, I just felt like it wouldn't be much of a stretch with how time travel affected jack and all. Her dying when she did seemed too out of place for me, I enjoy happy endings when I can find them in shows that I watch. The three gods could have worked some kind of magic or something too. Or maybe just not have Ashi as a love interest at all. It's whatevs though. I wanted it to end differently but it it didn't, I am just happy that it got one more season.
