Souten Kouro's an anime about the Three Kingdoms. It's not from Koei Tecmo if that's what you were wanting. Either way if you wanted something Dynasty Warriors related in anime, that's the closest for now :)

San Dini's Paninis No. Sengoku Basara is made by Capcom. Samurai Warriors is made by KOEI and came before than Basara.

Paulo Silva I know, but that's probably the closest we'll ever get to a SW anime TV series. Plus, the animation is made by Production IG which is better than the crappy animation in this OVA.

Paulo Silva They're both button mashers/Japanese genocide simulators set in the Sengoku era with historical figures and over the top action and cheesy writing. I say that they're more similar than you'd think.

ImThinking3 Dude the animation style is stale and everyones face is empty and lifeless. And they use that still frame bullshit to show that action is happening. Pause at 1:38 and you'll see Yukimuras arm basically snap and break. The spear doesn't look right switching it from the fore to background of his body. It looks super small. Hardly anyone has any sort of wrinkles. They don't form any facial expressions besides opening their mouth. Watch the first episode of Sengoku Basara I promise you, you'll see a huge difference. Better choreography, far more fluent movement, better range of movement, and people look like they aren't robots .

A top notch/high quality studio like Production IG, Madhouse or Bones should animate both a Samurai Warriors & Dynasty Warriors anime, and make them both around 26 episodes.
