Sanada (Awanokami) Masayuki - Died a semi-disgraced exile Sanada (Nobushige) Yukimura - Died a stalwart warrior to the end Sanada Nobuyuki - Died a lord and family man after the last great shogunate Glad I mained Yukimura back when I got into the series. Him and Zhao Yun. But man, the ending of this tale seems sad when you think about the six-coin crest and what Nobuyuki saw. In a way, Yukimura's spirit stays waiting at the River Styx, no coin to pay the ferryman. Only when Nobuyuki dies can both he and Yukimura be able to pass on in the afterlife. He may not have seen him die, but his spirit will see him as he last remembered him. EDIT: I'm glad that Nioh's DLC had some fanservice for the Yukimura x Chacha pairing though.

Ina also dies young and Nobuyuki lives on for a long time after her death. Poor guy never caught a break. He is even said to have said that the Light of his Household vanished when Ina died.

This is my first time hearing about this game and watching this, I think it’s interesting how they changed the ages of Yukimura and his brother for events where we play as them as adults in other SW games - for example, the brothers are still kids when the Takeda are destroyed even though we play as Yukimura serving Shingen since SW1. Not to mention Kunoichi apparently being older than Yukimura.

@@WatcherMovie008 Indeed. Also Kunoichi is mostly fictional though she was based off Umemura Sawano, with elements from other female ninja that had existed. Likewise, Sasuke is based off Sarutobi Sasuke with elements of Kirigakure Saizō.

I wish they would have made her the same age as the boys. It was a bit weird seeing her never age while everyone else grew up and grew old. Plus at this point in the series yukimura and kunochi are like a iconic duo see one and the others bound to show up.

Honestly, that happens especially earlier on when the cast was smaller. You gotta fill in slots even if it's situation where historically, the person wasn't there or even born them. EX: Sun Shang Xiang and Sun Quan appeared in some versions of the Yellow Turban Rebellion even if they were very young/not born yet (I think)

I think he meant more "in-depth". Then again (though obvious), they kind of focused on a specific group of characters' developments. I would love if they did this with other characters. I think that's what happened eventually for DW9. Due to the sheer number of characters, you would kind of need to adjust to an open world game mechanic as trying to display all character development in one battle I would think would be very hard. However this game did it well. Then again, the Sanada clan is the most well-loved and well-respected historical clans in shogun history. I just wished they put this much love in Dynasty Warriors. I feel like (though I can see justifiably why) the Samurai Warriors had so much love in it.

She was also separated from her sisters, her youngest sister was married to hidetada, was forced to be enemies and probably didn't get a chance to say goodbye before chacha and her son died in the castle flames, i sure hope they add her youngest sister oeyo she had a huge role as well daughter of oichi and nagamasa azai, neice to the demon king adopted daughter to the unifier of japan and daughter in law to the 2nd unifer of japan especially when it came to peace she gave birth to heirs to the shogunate's reign that lasted 200 years and her descendants became emporers and empress of all Japan so she was a big deal hope they add her in later titles.

There was like a theory I read somewhere a while ago that Masayuki deliberately plan to have each of his sons join a different side so that whatever the outcome, the sanada will survive. It makes sense since Masayuki is about the benefits of the Sanada and their survival so by having each son join a different side, that guarantees that the sanada will survive.

I watch this like everyday. They couldn’t have done a better ending. This was Amazing. From samurai warriors 1 intro it was known that yukimura and kunoichi would be there till the bitter end. And there they were. This is a poetic end for the game franchise. I honestly think they could leave it here. But something tells me they won’t 😞

Finished the game yesterday (yeah I know I'm late to the party lol) and it blew my mind. Loved the atmosphere, the intensity of battles (the battle of Sanada Maru was amazing). Yukimura's upgraded moveset is just a blast. That game made me HATE Ieyasu though 🤣

I really hope Samurai Warriors 5 and Samurai Warriors Chronicles 4 continue with the Aging Characters trend, I'd love the possibility of an even younger Ieyasu or an older Nobunaga since it is almost always put in the games that he survived the rebellion and became a hermit or even a younger Ujiyasu or an older Madame. Just the aged designs gave the characters so much more personality and made me love them that much more watching them all grow up! They would need to spend a huge amount of time on one or two characters tho. Also i'm pretty sure it won't work as well with the dynasty warriors since they basically only got like 3 main factions. Lu bu was one of the random faction but in the end he's kind of a douchebag so people won't get a great story like the sanada family. Maybe a story with diao chan as the main? That would be more interesting imo considering her part in the history. As for the samurais, i guess the story of nobunaga was already way too mainstream so maybe hideyoshi? I found him to be quite interesting with how he climbed into a warlord from being a peasant. Nagamasa also had a tragic end but he died way too quickly for it to be a good title.

Honestly, the cutscenes don't show much of the games story. It's mostly shown through event dialogues. Kunoichi survives and Nobuyuki runs into her again during the games Epilogue.

I don't know if they edited that after but in Japan, the game was promoted or released in the same day as the last episode of Sanada Maru. That was before Onna Jusho Naotora. I think the original JP name of this is Sengoku Musou: Sanada Maru.

In my mind, Nobunaga, Hideyoshi and Yukimura are the best heros of Japan. Zhuge Liang, Zhao Yu, Lu Bu and Su Tzu are the best heros of China. Cao Cao, Leyasu and Mitsuhide are the worst heros. My best heros don't care power. They want to change the world better and make peace. Their Loyalty, Strength, Intel and Love are great. But they don't have luck. :'( :'(

Nobunaga, historically is a child of revolution, with his mindset is way ahead about hundreds of years than his society. He modernized japan mindset, in term of warfare and economics, he's the first one that use the concept of free market on his domain. he radically eliminates the old custom and culture that hinder japan modernization such as the shohei (warriors monks), shogunate system, etc, etc. among the sengoku jidai daimyos, Nobunaga indeed is the best

That kunoichi was actually just a representation of yukimura's group of ninjas. So yea that's exactly why despite being much older, she just didn't age at all unlike ieyasu, nobuyuki, cha cha, yukimura or masayuki

For a long time, since the first Kessen, I always favored Tokugawa and the Eastern Forces. After playing this I truly feel I better understand Yukimura and the Western Army. During the final battles I felt the rush of trying to save every officer despite knowing they will die and feeling sad for them. Great game

Diana Verdugo like, i played Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate and it just had *SO MUCH.* A story node where you could go to different timelines, Costumes from previous games, a lot of in game interactions and best of all, *in-game cutscenes and a camp/ hub-world.* Warriors Orochi 4 seriously took steps *BACK* from Warriors Orichi 3. They seriousley took away the in-game cutscenes!

Playing both Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors, I have to say Samurai Warrior is better. Just like to know about Japanese History

There is a lot lesser characters in SW and see since it is a more recent event in history, it has a better (detailed) documented history then DW. Plus KOEI is a japanese company, so of course there would be a slight bias to give the series a much better story as they have more grasp of the history.

Guess the characters that appeared in this game won't be in the Orochi game in the future. Guess we will never get to play as that Blue dress Princess and older version of Yukimura anywhere else except this game alone. p.S I am sad tired of seeing Yukimura dying in every Sengoku's game, isn't it about time to make a "what if" for Yukimura? All these hot chick characters around him were all such a waste.

Well in Samurai Warriors 2, there is what if stage where Yukimura joins Sekigahara battle but it's just too bland. In Samurai Warriors his what if is the same with Shingen's. They should really make what if like Dynasty Warriors 8. I mean what if Yukimura is successfuly slain Ieyasu in Osaka would be cool.
