Great job on this video, David. And thanks for sharing the Endless Frame Recommendation Quiz link! We’ve been refining the logic over the past couple years as we incorporate customer feedback and add new frames to our line-up. You make some excellent points in your video about frame length vs. foot length. It’s true that the industry has been ignoring all the large-footed skaters for the last 25 years or so. Our Endless 90 ES frame was an attempt to more appropriately size a frame for the larger boots. One thing I’d like to bring extra attention to is that frame length is not always the primary indicator of maneuverability. You have to consider rocker as part of the equation. Our Arc 5-wheel frame is one of the longest frames we make, but is by far the most maneuverable one we make. It is more agile than any 4x80 flat setup with a 243 mm wheelbase since Arc’s effective wheelbase is 154 mm (3 wheels on the ground due to the slight rocker). As a general rule of thumb, if you have a flat setup then frame length will drive maneuverability. But if you have some amount of rocker, then that can easily make frame length a secondary factor (e.g. the Arc 5-wheel frame). Due to the slight amount of rocker we feature in all our 4-wheel frames, I generally recommend that frame length be equal to or slightly more than the length of one’s foot. In my experience with the Endless frames specifically this leads to the most balanced skating experience where there are equal parts stability and maneuverability. But as you noted, it’s also important to take other factors into consideration such as skating style, and personal preferences about the experience one would like to have. In our frame quiz we ask these kinds of questions to determine the best frame match for the individual skater and their needs. Sometimes that works out to a long frame, and sometimes that works out to a shorter one. Two last words of caution: 1) Our recommendations are tailored to our specific frames based on the rocker, response, flex, ride height, etc. I have designed into these frames. Other brands’ products likely do not give the same experience even if they are the same length…in other words, not all 4x90 frames are created equal. 2) A 1 mm rocker is not some magic rocker amount than can be universally applied to any frame. So be skeptical of any product that arbitrarily assigns that amount of rocker. On some frames that might not be enough rocker and on others it might yield a very squirrely experience. All Endless frames feature a unique rocker amount that best suits the purpose of each frame.

Me and my size 14 feet made my skating journey fun lol. Aside from not being able to find skates in my size, it seemed like any that made skates over size 12 didn't adjust the width that usually comes with such large feet. This led to so many blisters from improperly fitted boots. I got insanely comfortable with 4x80 frames though, to the point of rockering them. But the wheels never stuck out past my heal and toe. They were so far in that if i smacked toes and heals against each other, my wheels weren't even close to touching. lol Eventually I got a pair of Adapts, which were hands down the most comfortable inlines I've ever owned. After some back and forth emails with Pieter (he had a canceled custom order he wanted to get rid of) he threw me in some free wheels and frames with my boots. He must have thought I wanted larger frames because of the shoe size, and gave me 4x90s. When I got them I was so excited to try them on that i left the 4x90 frames and wheels on, and within an hour of skating I had face-planted because I clipped my wheels together. 😅 The very next day I swapped them out for my exiting frames, 4x80 rockered Sebas, that I then kept on for a few years until I ended switching to quads, because of the wider range of options they give us big feet folks. lol

I have 286mm feet, and I prefer 4x90 rockered slightly: it is much more stable than flat 4x80 and nicer to ride on non ideal surface. I tried 3x100 on low 246mn frames and they are quite fast and seem more stable than similar length 4x80mm. Additional height of 3x100 makes using them much less comfortable in traffic but I really aprieciate them for long distance on good surface.

It took me a long time (about a year) of riding understanding that I like (I realised I want agility for street urban skating, and sotimes I want speed and coformt for longer distance skating) and after lots of research I decided to go for Endless 90 frames, which I have mounted onto my FR2's. Endless 90 allows 4x90mm setup with slight rocker, and flat 3x110. Its perfect as I have one stake, which I can change setup quickly to whatever I prefer for that day. I did go through the quiz advised, and it gave the the same rezult - Endless 90 - as a recommendation. I am happy with this setup. To be honest, it takes time to get used to 3x110 setup, as its so high (I guess), but I really love I have this option and getting used to it as well.

Good Video. To solve decade old question of 3 or 4 wheels I just order some RB Crossfire 4x80s along with an additional a pair of RB 3WD 3x110 frames and wheels. I'll rocker the 4x80s, have the flat 3x110s and skate what's best for the day. I have a Twister boot I can but the 3x110 on if I need more support or want to have both 3x and 4x skates setup ready to go. I've been on 4x since before the TRS Lighting was released in the early 90's initially on RB ZETRA303s, last 20 years on 243mm so the two new setups should work lengthwise.

My feet length is 27cms/270mm - cutting it close between 42 or 43 depending on the boot fit. And not to forget my right foot is slightly larger. I have the HC Evo Pro and find that 42 is just about right - slightly loose on my left foot. I wear a thin sock on my right foot and a thick sock on my left foot. The Trinity frames that I have include: Katana, 3X125mm Swell frame, Endless 90 and 100, and 5X80 NNSkates frame. I would call the Endless 100 for a well rounded frame. But the 5X80 feels the best from a skating perspective for tricks and city skating. Although overall I like the endless frame quality the most. I now await the 5X80 Trinity frame from Endless - I hear they are coming out with that this year.

Great vid 👍🏻 most of the industry still "ignore" that topic 🥲 I like long and low frames and I go fast so there are only two perfect frames for my 265 feet... Endless 90ES and PS Combat 90 (290 wheelbase), love them both! I also like the big bad Sumo 4x110 but it's so fast, less agile and technically demanding that it can get a bit dangerous in the city 🤫

I tried the quiz and it just gave me rockered endless 100/110 suggestions. I want a 100% flat setup. Wanted to see all flat frames that will fit twister xt. Even if they're race frames. I find good deals on market place but don't buy because I'm unsure if it'll fit. If I can find pro race skates for $150 and place them on twister xt I'll do it. Like, will Bont 6061-t6 4x110 frame fit on twister xt?

Hi, height may be a variable too. I'm 2m tall but my feet are only 285mm long. Learning at 36y on a 4x80@243mm flat setup was a complete nightmare. I'm really happy I didn't wait too long before going on a 4x90@273mm rockered setup, it changed everything. More nimble yet so much more stable! But still a little unstable from front or back, especially if I let the rocker deepen with wheel wear. 4x100@303mm rockered is really great. A little too high maybe but the base lenght is perfect for me. I think I will never go less than 4x90@29Xmm rockered like endless ES or PS combat frame and definitly never less than 4x90@273mm. My 2 cent from a late starter with a weird body :D

Thanks for sharing! Height is a factor for sure. Your experience highlights why taller people may need longer frames because they have a taller central line of balance.

Very cool man. I’ve been hunting all over for advice like this, nice and concise! Some info I can’t seem to find for my specific situation is what the difference would be on endless 84 compared to my flat 80 stock setup in a eu42 boot. I’m looking for slightly more stability as well as speed. I don’t know if the rocker on the endless 80 with 84 wheels will give that extra stability. It’s also starting to feel like that upgrade is so minimal in size, so I’m undecided on doing anything. I mostly skate indoors in rinks, so the suggestion that the quiz gave me feels very wrong (it said endless 90es!). Lots of people suggest the endless 90 but I feel they might be too heavy for my purposes, they sound big and I don’t think I’m going to quite get to full cruising speed. Half thinking about endless 90 with 84 wheels? No idea. Would be great if anyone had advice
@DeezSkates
@DeezSkates Жыл бұрын
Coincidentally, I also wear a EU size 42 boot. The Endless 80 with 4x84 is a wheelbase of 255mm. In my experience it’s been more stable than a standard 4x80, which has a wheelbase of 243. The rocker on the Endless is very slight so the length is significant enough to make it more stable, while the rocker makes it more maneuverable.

I think "x amount shorter than my y" isn't as helpful as "90% of my foot length" Which, by the way, 243mm 4x80s would be almost bang on 90% of your foot length (243/268=0.907). Using a percentage is much easier for everyone else to adapt to accurately, as they can simply put in their foot length and multiply it by the decimal amount. For me that'd be 285*0.9= roughly 256mm, or a 4x84. With the next best thing (and first common size) being 4x90, that means I should probably get a 4x90 for mixed slalom/urban/roller rink/wizard stuff. Right at 100% of my foot length is something like a mix4 100/90 with two 90s and two 100s. A 5x76 is about right for 110% my foot length, with a shorter 5x72 being about 103%. *EDIT:* Just did the Endless quiz and it told me 4x90 or the ARCs when I included Wizard skating with Slalom and Urban, and when I excluded it, it said only the 4x90s. Since I had (only) one other actual skater rec me 4x90s, and a lot of glowing reviews for the endless 90s, I guess I have my plan.

In roller skates should be snug and no excess space on your toes.. what about rollerblading? I want to skate safely and in control outdoors. I think it is way safer inlines for me outside than roller skates 😂 like skating from home to work

Hi! A snug fit is important for inlines too. Contact a shop for fitting advice if it’s your first pair. Inlines are definitely more suited for outdoor skating. I always use quads in the rink. Inlines in the streets.

Because I already have a Trinity model from 2019 and it’s a way more responsive boot than the redesign the Evo got in 2021. I bought the newer one purely for colors and to have a 165 mount to test new frames on.
