The Doppelsoldners will run at skirms and still wipe them out if they have the card to make them run faster. The splash dmg is also beautiful. Until the Samurai's came along they were the best tanks of the infantry imo, although I still prefer the Dops due to speed.

May I also add that cassadors have 4.5 speed instead of the 4 speed for most other skirms/heavy infantry? I have seen good players raid with them. They have 50% range resist and they are even cheaper than normal skirms because food is a lot faster to gather than coin and cass cost the same as musks only a tiny bit more expensive.
