Thank you Andrew for this video, my husband is growing his hair out and he's so used to styling shorter hair that now it looks either really fluffy or really flat. I'm going to share this technique with him. :D
@masonrowlett54007 жыл бұрын
Hey I have this kind of hairstyle but a little more fluffy. I don't know what to do with it because when I lean forward or tilt my head forward it all goes in my face. (My hair is at my lips right now for length) So I put StyleSexyHair Hard Up gel in it and it works ok. But when I'm in class and girls are playing with my hair I can't have that gel in it because you can't even run your hand through it. So what should I do to get it to stay and slick back but also so anyone can run their hands through my hair.
@beautyandthebeards4 жыл бұрын
great video. My hair is almost at this length. My question is how do I keep it like this after sleeping or going to the gym?
@JoeDoe26 жыл бұрын
If 'texture' is the feel of the hair you were born with, (fine, course, curly, etc.) which you can't do anything about, what does it mean to CHANGE the texture, either by combing it too much or doing something else to it, i.e. "adding whispy texture" vs. 'defined' texture? I don't understand how you ADD (or take away) texture to hair. See 02:10
@samvillahair6 жыл бұрын
We are referring to the visual texture created by the cutting technique, product choice, and styling.

with thick hair follicles comes a bit thinner of a hair, though it looks thick, it's really just the fence link thick follicle: i have this type of hair, and it is naturally a bit curly. when i style my hair it looks sharp, but after the water dries the ends flip up and and it generally puffs and becomes unruly (though with a damp of hot water and holding my sides and top for a minute or two, i can manage that flat look, but often times i'm in a rush on my daily schedule, and don't have time to hold it in place for 2-5mins. i use strongish hairspray (not extreme hold but strong) and an axe brand type of putty. i want to keep that sharp, executive look, almost elven (though i would never admit that is partially what i'm going for to mates) with the few strands sharp in front of the ears, sharp straight back with maybe a bit of a few cm curl at the tips of the back, and a nice top knot; situated more horizontal, than vertical my hair is about and inch from my shoulders, and my bangs are down to my throat. Any advice on a fighters/man's man prep? it looks beautiful when it's \sorted --i think---, but when it's all dried and i'm in the scene, or training: it's pretty unruly, feminine, childish, and generally a turn-off ( though some days if i give it a lot of product and attention, it will stay in place, given aforementioned techniques, and products) if you took the time to read all this, and have any wisdom to offer, user or Sam Villa, any tips, and your time; are greatly appreciated

He can’t really style it no matter what he does. How do you shape it, while preserving length, but he can style it too with low maintenance? He has a little wave to it. Medium density. This might be a dumb question, but I’m new in the industry. 😬 - thank you

B C let it grow for like 4-5 months and then go cut the top a bit and the back. u need to cut the back a little bit to avoid growing an accidental mullet and then from there on out just go for a trim every 3-4 months just to givethe hair a little bit of shape but mostly u need patience on the first like 6-7 months its gonna look pretty bad and ull feel like cutting it

Totally agree Reece. We adjust based on the texture of hair and try to keep our product suggestions to what is needed for the look. On certain hair textures, maybe this would be too much. First product (satin wear) is just a leave-in conditioner to soften the hair even the porosity, second product (grip tight) is a firm hold gel that doesn't get flaky, and the last product (fashion waves) is a sea salt spray... you can always use more of a pomade or wax if you want more shine but it doesn't allow you to wear it for as many days without getting oily looking

Hey Carlos, it depends on how strong the growth patterns are in your hair. You can also try using a comb with a blow dryer... comb the hair back tight to the head as you dry your hair. This can help create more root direction.

too much hair damage. Would definitely not recommend what he is doing. Go easy on the products as a little goes a long way and as for blowdrying, only blowdry if you are going out and keep the blowdryer much much further away from your hair or otherwise you risk damaging it to the point where it will begin to fall out or not grow in certain areas. I suggest towel drying it by scrunching to the point where it is less damp then you would usually have it when blowdrying. Then, apply a heat protectant and blowdry. My hair is really really thick and wavy and i dont blowdry or use products, i let it airdry after scrunching it a bit then it parts in the middle (as it is a medium length like say prince charming or bradley cooper) then due to the thickness it is really malleable
