Recent hate trends see JLo as a focus point but is it all true or are content creators making up whatever they can to bring in more views and numbers?

I cannot dislike her and she did great. this online victimization of one strong women in control, that choose and are not chosen, after the other while at the same time praising sexual predators has to stop. It is sick and a sign of mental illness.

people just hate bcos we live these social media times, where everyone picks on everything. she's a woman, over 50s, very ageist society, its a sin to grow old in the industry. Jlo became bigger than Jennifer Lopez, probably overexposure. The train hate makes no sense, lots of misinformation. the down of social media and the new generation. In regards to vocals ability, people just acting like this does not happen all the time. Rihanna diamonds has Sia all over the place, Britney toxic same thing, has the original singer all the the place. Jlo has a long discography but people pick 6/7 songs and says she does not sing. People are just bad. Imagine her children getting to deal with this.. its unfortunate

Yes, late Millennials and Gen Z's (many of them at least) have become so toxic and nit-picky about everything, whereas previous generations in many cases were much more easy-going and weren't over-analysing and going out of themselves to hate on somebody so much. Me as a person born in 2001 I definitely consider myself more of an early millennial with significant influences of baby boomers, x and a z, cause the general characterisation of Gen Z's today is someone who claims to be more open-minded and tolerant than previous generations, but at the same time conducts hate trains and cancels the shit outta people he or she doesn't like, at the same time living in social media, being judgmental, demanding and promoting mediocrity. No, I'm not that person. I love the era of 2000s and early 2010s, even 80s or 90s, stars from these times- not what we have NOW.

No one would back her movie so she funded it herself. Twenty million dollars. People are down on her because she's been an entire fraud to make all of these songs with other females voices. She makes a fool of herself by doing all of the same damn dances with her cane ten years later. She's shameless.

I hope I made sense while writing this because I'm a French speaker. The hate is coming from this is just my opinion white people hate the fact that Ben Affleck went back to 3 times divorce Latina instead of his ex-wife. Black refuses to support her because their Idols have to remain on top but the thing is they can not act no matter how they try. Latina thinks Jlo turned white and forgot about them especially since she strongly confesses her love for Ben but they don't go hard on Arod and Mark Anthony. I'm an African living in the UK, and I cannot understand the hate Jlo get from where I am coming from (Congo) growing up Jlo was the number one Queen, she can act, dance and sing and she's one of the hardest working in Hollywood period. I never listen to profane music like that but I can not lie, I listened to This Is Me Now album and I confirm this is JLo's Best Album The Vision and the Documentary is ice on the cake. Jen never stated that she was a great singer. The haters want Jlo to quit without getting Grammy recognition that way if she ends up getting recognition in a Movie they will have something to use to discredit her as a musician. She is 55 this year they are pushing harder for her to quit. What she needs right is a viral song moment that can silence the hate trend of then concentrating on her tour. I have so many ideas but I just hope, she figures out what would be her next move.

Actually claiming that white people hate Jennifer because Ben Affleck had chosen her instead of a white Jennifer Garner...this is a phucken reach? ;D White people don't consider everything in terms of racial identity in comparison to let's say...Latinos and Blacks. Latinos cancel the shit out of her and discriminate her (her and Selena Gomez) because they were growing up in the US, their Spanish language is mediocre so Latinos (self-proclaimed undepriviliged, but compassionate and inclusive community) don't consider them as "their own", often comparing them to Shakira and other artists who were actually growing up in Latin America...isn't it discrimination? It is just wrong. JLo and Gomez didn't choose to born in US, as much as Shakira or other Latinos didn't choose to be born in South America. Selena and JLo since the start of their career have been always vocal about their Latin identity and roots...but no matter how much they were always praising the Latino community it still shits on them only because they hadn't been born in Latin America, did not grow up there and they don't speak Spanish as well as Shakira...you come across comments like "we don't claim JLo or Selena" from Latinos ALL THE PHUCKEN TIME. How can you be even more pathetic? On the other hand, Afro-Americans are so self-centered and egocentric that they are 100% convinced that JLo's career has been born only to sabotage and destroy Black artists...wtf, hahahahaha! Some of her background singers happened to be Black, that's correct, but does it mean that JLopez on purpose selectively had been choosing only Black artists? xd Answer yourself that question. And they be going with this shit all the phucken time- Jlo is racist, JLo steals from Black artists, JLo uses Black singers to sing for her...like people, not everything revolves around Black, don't yall see how racist it is? Ashanti was a background vocal in the choruses of 2 songs of jLo...only two. Christina Millan was a background vocals only in 1 song of JLo, and all these songs from 2001. JLo recorded few hundred more songs in her career. But Black community is so aggressive and so full of hate on her, that they'll be disregarding her to that level that they'll be claiming all the time her whole discography is sang by Ashanti or Christina. I'm not even reffering to Mariah Carey feud or JLo using n word one time in "I'm Real", when Cassie (not being 100% Black), Rihanna and Beyonce use all the time n word for swag in their songs and all the other Black rappers, despite this word's severe meaning and history, then it's cool, but it is simply vanity and showing-off. And those are the communities that hate on JLO and that are the problem- Latinos and Blacks- they should give themselves a hard look in the mirror. The only Asians and whites who have problem with JLo are those being mentally Black/Latino.

Sammie I’m always team Mariah out of the two I’m sorry. Butttt I think JLo is very likeable and people are over exaggerating the hate. I never like her much as a singer, but she is very talented actress when she gets the right parts (she was excellent in Selena) I think a lot of it is jealousy.

Jlo got hate for years. They say she can’t sing, she went and got lessons. But she always made good music. She’s always honest about her life and mistakes. I don’t get why they say she’s a narcissist. I never heard her put people down or say she’s better than anyone. I think of Nicki Minaj as a narcissist. Jlo has always stayed in her lane and just done her job. What I wish she did was drop another Spanish album and gone the full spanish route like Marc did. I love timn. I just wish she added one or two more songs that sound like TIMT. TIMN production wise feels like Rebirth part two than TIMT part two. I’m just tired of this nonsense about the backup vocals. We hear her sing all the time all through her albums.

People would rather say negative things than positive things. Jennifer has worked hard to get where she is. She's not the best singer or actress on the planet, but she's a perfectionist. She puts 100% into all her projects and I'll always respect her for that. I saw one of her backup singers say that she's the one you hear on Jenny from the block, sorry but I recognize Jennifer's voice and she sings on her songs... All singers have backups so why hate J.LO so much?! Is Rihanna better? Give me a break lol I also think fan bases have a lot to do with this nastiness too... They're at war with their divas' competition and honestly it's just ridiculous. Get a life... There's no competition just good music for everyone. We love you JLO

She has worked hard on stepping on anyone with talent and taking their chance. There were plenty of black female artists that she stepped on. All these women could say was that they agreed. If Ashanti actually said the truth, they would have crushed her. What she did to Dayanara Torres was disgusting. She only married Mark cause Ben dumped her. She did not have a problem breaking a family to take a man she did not even love. They put iron clause on Dayanara that if she said anything Jlo will come after her for defamation. We all knew this in Puerto Rico. What’s happening to her is called Karma.

@bibilove6277 how did she "step on" Ashanti's, or anybody else's, career?! Ashanti literally got signed after those two huge JLo and Ja songs. The clout, merit and recognition she got for having written those two classics made it so that she got a recording deal. Thus, one could argue that actually, Jennifer Lopez put Ashanti on the map! No JLo = no Ashanti! But it happened, and contrary to expectations, both women rode high in the charts, *simultaneously*, becoming peers and directly competing for sales, fans and chart positions. Does Foolish ring a bell? Or Rock Wit U, Mesmerise, Wonderful etc., ring a bell? Lopez just so happens to have showcased unmatched longevity, was savvy af and knew how reinvent and reorientate herself and her career, push harder and continue to develop her capacities, brand and empire, while the other lady... well who knows!? The point is, she had her shot! But these dumb allegations and crocodile tears for Ashanti and Christina Milian - two stars who got their shot and were momentarily somewhat major - are disingenuously malicious, with added abject race bating, from provocative opportunists who should know better but sadly, they can't even tell their elbow from their asses. In other words, they've reached the height of human imbecility!

Honestly, I think she doesn't deserve it, but being silent all the time about it is not gonna help. The whole project "This Is Me...Now", instead of focusing on her relationship with Ben should've been a fun electro-euro pop album in the style of the 2010s (her peak times with Love? & Dance Again when people loved her the most) or simply a clapback to all the haters addressing the whole fake rumours about her lack of talent, not singing songs, stealing, being a rude person etc. She should've addressed that in her documentary, not once again putting her whole relationship with Ben Affleck to the spotlight- it wasn't healthy for them in the early 2000s and it still isn't now in the mid 2020s. I love Jennifer Lopez in her entirety, This Is Me...Now is great album and I definitely prefer it over Usher or Ariana Grande new albums (my subjective opinion), but that career decision with the whole Bennifer 2.0 era, sci-fi thriller romance fantasy musical biography (?) of her and documentary abut that- it is probably her worst career decision yet. If she wanted comeback, she should've go into her A.K.A. unapologetic self or disco-Love? diva. EDIT: There are women beaters, oppressors and abusers among the A-listers in not only music industry, but also sport and movie entertainment. There are people openly glorifying Illuminati and Satanism (yes, I believe many artists made a deal with industry and they exhanged their humility, honour and self-respect for money, access to the best quality productions in the world and fame. All they have to do is to constantly hiddendly promote Illuminati and to incorporate it into their music...cough, Rihanna or Beyonce). And people are pressed about JLo for having background in the choruses in few of her songs, but they idealise people I mentioned above...WHat's wrong with this world?

@@Sammae I think there are very limited chances to jump to the top of the music industry in your mid-50s...honestly, when you're in your 40s you're supposedly middle-aged, but you're still young enough to catch up with the youth trends (JLo was doing that in 2010s and releasing hits being an idol of millions of much younger people than her/Madonna literally was successful in music through her entire 40s in the 2000s/Shakira is now in 2020s and Cher was still doing it in the 80s and 90s). You can still have a solid comeback and thrive on it for years to come in your 40s if you had a solid career and legacy earlier in the past...but when you look in the tendencies- artists in their 50s if they were successful in their 40s become desperate to maintain the monumentum, but they're unable. Jennifer Lopez released some great quality songs in the 2020s but nothing really captured the attention of anyone (Cambia El Paso should've been worldwide smash!!), Madonna had her little moment with MDNA in 2012, songs were good, but her biggest succes was #10 with Give Me All Your Luvin', and with the next record she went so desperate to release songs as "B*tch, I'm Madonna". It's still rare to make it big in the music industry in your 40s- girls like Madonna, JLo, Shakira or Cher are some of the only exceptions and this is a HUGE achievement, cause most artists struggle even in their 30s to replicate the past successes, but when you look at the 50s- it unfortunately isn't a time for you anymore- it's like people automatically decide to lose interest in you. You cannot go head in head with all these teenage artists or in their 20s. Kylie made a little comeback last year with Padam and Cher with Believe at 52, but it was a matter of great song, not people going out of themselves to reach for their new records. Love? comeback is impossible for JLo already, unfortunately, damn even I pretty doubt she would pull out European market hit as she did with Ain't Your Mama 8 years ago.

NOBODY can deny the amount of talent that Jennifer Lopez has!! I believe she would be a household name even if she never did music. With that being said, neither can we deny JLo being complicit with ALOT of shady and disrespectful things that she has NEVER addressed head on! She KNEW her intentions when she entered the music industry! Tommy Mottola made it clear to her what she was doing. Everything she is going through right now is the same thing she put Mariah Carey through starting in 1999. The documentary and Album may be good! I’m not going to support it. But so was “Glitter” from Mariah Carey. That album was a great work of art. And mostly original material, written and produced BY MARIAH with the exception of the covers. JLo is getting her just due in my opinion. She is far too dismissive to ignore at this point.

@@AFVfan1 if you think she cancelled solely because of ticket sales then keep with the follow train. Her ticket sales were fine not sold old but a lot of places were of 80 percent sold. I checked myself on an app Tour Data. She may be internally going though a mental health breakdown you never know

A lot of work into her vocals? Lmao I understand you’re a fan saying this but let’s be real she cannot sing.

You don't have to be a fan to notice the improvement she's made vocally. I'm not saying she's a great singer, however she put in the work and it shows. Listening to her earlier albums to now, she does way more singing and sounds better. Again to clarify I'm not saying she's a vocalist.

@@Sammae You’re right that’s fair I just think her/her team/the music industry tried way too hard to push her as some icon vocalist and that’s probably where a lot of negativity is coming from. That’s why Mariah don’t know her 😂

@@RS-007 actuaally they didnt they tried to push her as an iconic musicaian which she is as she makes great music . Different from vocalsist. J.lo is just an easy target because she cares she's nice amd wants people to know it. The rest Maraia and them are smart enough to put you people in your place and let you know yall aint sh*t.

Well why people do that with Beyoncé? She’s always in the media, and people don’t that to her. That’s why I miss the 90s. There were a variety of artist to choose from.

I was fine with her until I watched a Black awards show where she got up on stage and tried to make it about Latina women.. it was disrespectful to every Black person that helped her get her career started and then some.

I think the negativity towards her has been brewing for a couple years now. I believe it has to do with authenticity. 2017 2018 and especially 2019 were good years for her career. Then she came out with her skin care line. Even I as a fan, was so Icked out by it. The whole story about olive oil. I have watched and read many interviews and never heard her mention olive oil. & let’s be real she wasn’t the only celebrity who was in it for the cash grab. But her line felt so ingenious. Also the packaging was off the photos were so edited. I think the real down hill was Delola. For years she has been a known sober. Always said she didn’t drink. Now having a husband who is a recovering alcoholic. It felt like she was using her fans to make money. Again she’s far from the only celebrity to do this. However it was so blatantly inauthentic. I think it left a bad taste in everyone’s mouth. Then ppl started to kind of feel like “oh doesn’t she have a history of this”. I do think ppl are being way too harsh. And I have come across a number of younger ppl who took the time to watch it and actually liked it. People love to hate her. I think she didn’t help herself with these bad business moves.

1st things 1st. People need to understand business is business and celebrities are allowed ro partake in markets. 2nd she has been known for olive oil in fact it started another scandal like this one where she said she used olive oil to keep her skin looking young. People like to hate because they generally hate who they are compared to someone else

@@lauraender3922 I personally am a big fan of JLO. And I have never remembered her mentioning olive oil in the numerous interviews I’ve read and watched. But maybe I just never came across a time she did. As for as business goes. Her likability is her business. She will definitely have haters and that’s a definite. But as far as I know her skin care line isn’t selling and I’m not to sure about her alcohol brand. And we know about the entertainer persona right now. People are trashing her and it’s affecting her sales and streaming. So yea I think business isn’t just business. Her image is her business motto. If ppl don’t think that you’re genuine then you have the whole internet against you and you not making money. She’s rich so she’s all good. But she obviously intended to do well in these business endeavors.

You are a fan of JLo it’s obvious. Your opinions are very biased this is not a great album it sounds dated very JLo 2000s not current or relevant. All the tracks were forgettable they don’t stand out nothing grabs you. AKA and Love? Is her modern pop sound and she should have stuck to that. Actual fans of JLo may appreciate this album sounding like her original stuff but the majority of us will ask why? if I wanted2000s JLo I’d listen to her past albums that are way better. The film was self indulgent and as an artist not art in my opinion. It Looked like a big commercial film no passion behind it. She should have created a different character and told a fantastic story Jennifer Lopez herself is not likable like a Taylor or Beyonce and nor does she need to be. What people want is a show not mediocre harping about her as a person she currently doesn’t have that like ability. The public gets all they need about her from hearsay for better or worse. She is a sexy glamorous image less of a real person. If her new music and film was actually good and sold this image and less self centered no one would care about all this bad press (I personally don’t) in fact it would drive all the traffic to her film music tour.
