I love this whole video so much, Kingdom Hearts is the first video game franchise to pull me into a ballad of emotions, especially with it’s music. This piece just heightens it to new levels emotions, making feel like a kid replaying the series when I was 10. I will use this at my wedding, I promise you that!

i love this sound track because of the simplicity of the pieces. I love listening to Kyle Landry's arrangements of KH music but I think a lot of the beauty of the Kingdom Hearts music comes from the peaceful and slow but dramatic melody that has few notes but just pulls at your heart.

I’m sure this is a relatively universal experience among other autistics who are severely mentally ill, but KH is my special interest and it literally saved my life. Especially in the summers in middle school when I was home alone all day with razors and not up to code bathroom outlets. A lot of the time I could do nothing more than lay on the floor for hours or hurt myself to get productive. But the thing that kept me from killing myself most summer days throughout middle school and high school was KH. It brought me so much joy when I had none, in the way only a special interest can. I for a fact annoyed the other kids in the mental hospitals I went to with only ever choosing KH orchestral for music and talking about it whenever I could. The only things I would ask for whenever my birthday rolled around was KH stuff. I remember once in high school psychology class I told everyone that KH saved my life, and everyone laughed at me (yes, even the teacher.) I just love this series so much. My boyfriend who died had it as his special interest as well. I’m getting a paopu fruit tattoo on my wrist in his memory, and a Way to the Dawn keyblade on my shoulder or back, when I can afford it. I’m officially no longer a NEET as of today thank god, and that is in no small part thanks to KH and all the official and fan creations. Sorry for trauma-dumping in a KZbin comment section lmao. Kingdom Hearts is wonderful.
