San Antonio has the skyline of a city like Birmingham or Tulsa when it should have a skyline like Atlanta.

Lived here since mid 80s and it hasn't changed much but population has doubled. Most don't realize we're 2nd largest city in Texas. 500,000 more than Austin but Austin skyline is so profound compared to my skyline.

I come from Kansas City the 35th largest US city....Kansas City skyline is massive compared to San Antonio

As a native Texan who has stayed many times in San Antonio, its hard to counter that point. I've stayed near Kansas City downtown and SA doesn't have the same size skyline despite the fact that SA is nearly 3 times the size of Kansas City. Texas has 3 cities, soon to be 4 with Austin, that have populations over 1 million. SA is the second largest city by population and they've hardly added anything to their skyline at the same rate like Dallas, Houston or Austin.

Patrick Finley. San Antonio is ruled by a bunch of little old fart ladies called : Conservation Society, they dont want the city to progress.They want to keep the old buildings and do not want any tall modern buildings downtown.

Blankerism I'm from Houston and our skyline is now massively bigger than Dallas, they have build a 757ft skyscraper and now constructing a 735 ft skyscraper and a 610ft one and 830 ft has been approved, in mid town their now constructing two 600ft condos all in all when that happens downtown, mid town and the medical center will connect and make it look massively long.

@214 Dude True, but so has SA. It's still untouched on the ground level though. I've since moved to Houston. It crazy how empty downtown can be.

It's going to take a helluva more than some lighting and boxy buildings to give SA the skyline it deserves. There is no reason for a city of this size to have such a weak and boring skyline.

Joe Martin San Antonio spends its money on activities it’s differ t and fun compared to NYC and LA and city’s like that they work on y’all buildings which are fun to vist but most Texans don’t have interests like that

To be a city in the top 10 in population in the nation. San Antonio downtown skyline is the worst by far. It's not even in the top 30
