I grew up in the 90’s when gang life was glorified and romanticized by movies and music. I ended up getting involved in things I had no business doing coming from a financial secure environment. I lost friends and almost lost myself as well. I look back now at the stupidity of it all and how all these men destroyed their lives over a lack of imagining something better. I’m glad that kids now see it for what it is, a death sentence.
@alexia6130 Жыл бұрын
I'm glad you changed for the better.but i really wish kids thought of it differently at the highschool I go to and many other schools too kids are always acting like their gangsters and thinking they look cool throwing up fake gang signs when in reality almost all of them would be dead if they were in a real gang . Almost my entire family has been affiliated with cartels in mexico and quite a few of them you see them and they live a miserable life I have family members that have disappeared.these kids are too blind too see what it really is they do things to try and be popular and for a trend

Ignorance of those around these released animals know no better or 'don't care' - it's reposit of Systemic Oppression (through Poverty) as well. I agree completely in fact I keep coming back to watch this video time and time again because its so good but also because I just cant wrap my head around how stupid of and individual Julian was. Like I understand that he involved himself with being a police officer, selling drugs, the Mexican mafia and his tattoo shop because he was greedy and wanted to make a lot of money by dipping into illegal activities but it was such an obvious inherently extreme risk to himself. Like the criminal aspect of this case is really compelling but Julian's stupidity is just dumbfounding. Judge did not send a message for refusing to punish the killers for killing a crooked cop…. Pessina was not on duty and not acting in the capacities of an officer at the time of his death. So it’s not that he refused to punish the killer of a cop or crooked cop, it’s that he could not punish the killer of a cop. The cop was not acting as a cop at the time because he was off duty. If the judge had decided to punish with the maximum amount for killing a police officer, they would have been thrown out in appellate court.

Well done! I'm interested in true crime stories and I've watched many videos on the subject. Yours are definitely among the most interesting and informative I've seen. To me, the ideal balance between story telling and delivering facts is a delicate one. Too heavy on the facts can get boring. But too much story without factual evidence makes me skeptical that I'm getting the whole truth. This video presents a great balance of the two. It holds my attention while presenting hard evidence to show it's not just an opinion piece. Very entertaining and informative. I hope you have success and continue to offer these kinds of compelling narratives.

From the 90s to early 2000s the " Eme" ( Mexican Mafia) ruled the Texas prison systems. Thier arch enemy was TS ( Texas syndicate) and there would be killings weekly in there. They warred for over a decade until the early 2000s the Tango Blast was formed ( Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth, and Austin) which was created for Mexicans and Tejanos who didn't want to join a " family" The Tangos were huge and eventually ran out all the TS from every Texas unit. It was a wild time....

Yeah, San Antonio is a strange city. For a top 15 city in the US, we only have one major sports team (Spurs). Not a lot of high buildings and has HUGE land area. It's a very welcoming city BUT there is a criminal underworld that you simply just do not mess with. I grew up middle class there but there were certain areas and streets I was told to never go beyond, which is understandable.

Yeah I saw that. That was crazy. Regardless of who these MM guys are here in San Antonio, TX, they don't, and hardly ever go after kids. Kids are a no-no from what I heard. They accidentally hit a kid, and I heard THEY get a greenlight. It's what I heard, not know, so don't come for me. A lot of these guys leave you alone if you leave them alone. Just mind your business, and all will be good. They're old school cats so it's all about respect. Not defending them, just saying.

Dealt with the Mexican Mafia and other gangs when I worked as a CO at Leavenworth in the 80s. They were allied with the Aryan Brotherhood and the prison had a “peace treaty” with the DC Blacks and Black Muslim groups. At that time the “rackets” were divided by race, and disputes settled by a committee of the various factions. Don’t know how it is now, other than federal prisons have become much more violent and dangerous today, than they were in that earlier era.
@rolandomontana1389 Жыл бұрын
The mafia is dismantling lossing power, just as other big organizations, I dont even think the syndicate exist anymore, I migh be wrong...but for the federal prisons, the Paisas 16 are running things now.
