Man am I impressed that is the most beautiful nft system those heads of lettuce couldn't be any more perfect I grow on a raft system now and I love buttercrunch lettuce and I just got excited inside when I saw those beautiful green belts of lettuce heads Stellar on the native Southern California and I know the weather in San Diego provides the perfect place thanks for growing such great stuff can't wait to taste some of that beautiful stuff

Chefs boast about it because of the uniformity and speedy delivery. If you taste veggies grown in soil and this you will definitely be able to tell the difference how much better soil grown taste. These types of operations have to add different chemicals "nutrients" into the water to try to come close to the soil grown

There is no difference in the nitrogen and other nutrients found in soil and the nitrogen and other nutrients added to a hydroponic system. Plant nutrients are chemicals regardless of if they are found in soil or are added to water in a hydroponic system. I've found the veggies I've grown hydroponically are way better than anything I've bought in a grocery store. I am willing to admit that food taste preferences are very personal and you are entitled to your preferences. In a country of "food deserts", having farms like these pop up closer to cities can mean fresh produce for more people.

Plastic is the greenest material we have for logistics. The amount of greenhouse gasses and power it takes to produce plastic is incredibly low compared to paper bags, glass, etc....

There are packages made corn starch that look identical and function the same as the plastic. They biodegrade in a couple of months. Cost a little more...but well worth it.

I'm growing hydroponic lettuce at home. Store-bought lettuce is kind of bland and tasteless. What I grow in tubs is beautiful, HUGE, and tastes GREAT. Plus, over the life of the plant, it uses significantly less water than plants grown in soil. An added benefit is no pesticides or herbicides! If you haven't tried any grown this way, you should eat some and see if your opinion changes. A lot of people are surprised!
