The fact that you made this look incredible with the kit lens proves it’s not all about gear. As long as you have something semi-decent, it’s just skill that turns it into art. Well done my friend.

@lo-fivecreative36058 жыл бұрын
Thanks, I think a few of the shots are over-done. But basically I shot this in Cine4 and tried to underexpose by 1 or 2 stops (something I read, as well it was very overcast out most of the days). I then used Deluts Johnny Behiri and IWLTBAP - Sedona (both free LUTs) to start off the shots. From there I deepened the blacks (which is I prob could have done without in the shots I used Deluts) and added exposure back in when it was too dark (make sure to add some contrast when you add exposure). I then fidgeted w/ the color temp to correct for the environments. Hope this helps.

syaffiq hambali problems? I mean, it has it's faults. In 4k there is s lot of rolling shutter unless you have a stabalizer and it does tend to overheat if you're shooting in the heat.
@fieq56787 жыл бұрын
well i dont really plan to shot in 4k, bcz most of my work only on 1080p, which works fine for me, thankz for the respond check out my work cheers

syaffiq hambali ah, okay. Well, then you won't have to worry about overheating. I work in 1080 also, but downsizing 4k to a 1080 timeline will get you the best looking footage out of the A6300.

Thanks for sharing a great video. Could you please teach me how to stabilize your footage? especially the last footage (lower angle follow the girl's walk). Thank you.
@joshdoesmotion7 жыл бұрын
Hiya, Honestly, all I did for this video was use warp stabilizer on these clips. You just need to play around with the settings (the smoothness %, if there is motion, how the warp is achieved) to find the best combination for each individual clip. Adobe's stabilizer system isn't fool proof and depending on your motion, shakes, and the motion of the subject--you'll need to adjust the settings accordingly. In fact, that clip of her walking on the beach was one of the roughest clips -- I was zoomed all the way in, walking along with her. It's not a great example of using the software well since that footage has some very noticeable warps. Thanks!
@joshdoesmotion7 жыл бұрын
Sorry. One other thought -- if you're shooting handheld you will need to shoot with that stabilization in mind (unless your camera has in-body/in-lens stabilization). So that means, try and do smooth pans of your subject, if you're trying to do tracking keep your feet on the ground as you move (bent knees, roll the foot). In addition, if you shoot to slow things down, they will naturally look a bit less shaky. So shooting in 60fps will allow you to slow the clip down 40-50%. If it still needs to be smoother, in Adobe you can nest that clip and apply warp to it to increase the smoothness. Hope this helps.

@lo-fivecreative36057 жыл бұрын
No need to apologize! I shot this in Cine-4 (PP6 on A6300) and used Deluts LUT package to color. I had to tinker w/ it some - bringing the blacks/whites up and down, as well as lessening the LUT effect for each shot. In addition, I added a 4k film grain overlay that I found online (for free) and layered it over at around 30% opacity, just to add some more natural grain - you could probably take or leave that last step, I just prefer it.

Damn it DILDORK, this is too amazing! Also, this might be a dumb question, but what did you use autofocus to get these shots? If so, which type of autofocus?
@lo-fivecreative36057 жыл бұрын
NoBigDeal Thanks! I actually don't think I used autofocus at all on this video. I had just gotten the camera and wasn't entirely sure of its capabilities. However, the A6300s AF is pretty great and I use it for a lot of tracking shots. The only lens I had st the time of this video was the kit, it's also the lens I use for most tracking shots since it is really light and easy to use on a gimbal.
@TheObaidUtari7 жыл бұрын
Good stuff. This might sound like an even dumber question but all of your manual focusing looks super sharp; you definitely nailed focus. Do you have a method to nail manual focus? Whether it be using EVF vs. LCD, etc. Btw You got yourself a subscriber so keep up the good work.
@lo-fivecreative36057 жыл бұрын
NoBigDeal thanks again! I do like to use the EVF when I'm going handheld and it suits the shot. Focus peaking helps a ton and this was the first camera I have owned with it. Very useful. As well, I like to use a small unsharp mask on footage that is slightly out-of-focus. I think downsizing 4k footage also helps with this. I appreciate the questions, nothing dumb about them.

Thanks again. Keep up the great work and thank you for inspiring aspiring filmmakers like me.

Hi Bernardo, I would look into the different picture profiles your camera has. Each profile has different qualities (how much saturation,contrast,color tone is 'baked in' to the profile - as well as differences in dynamic range). Knowing how to properly expose the image for how you'll color grade is very important.
@bjhaydon237 жыл бұрын
Perfect.. but could you show us how u do that? some video tutorial or pictures resumen for example. Since your record to final color grading, the precess. thanks

Its very very amizing video.., finally i bought sony a6300, but when i shoot.. i have very anoying wiggle, so much shake..and i hate it., :(, its like better use canon or nikon dslr, i still use adapter lens use nikon lens, not yet sony lens with OSS, can you tell me some tips to shoot smooth in a6300 like you without gimbal..? Or you use gimbal? Thank you before :)
@lo-fivecreative36056 жыл бұрын
Gautama ARTS so that's the rolling shutter, I assume. Try to go for steadier, static or panning shots? Or use the kit lens which has image stabilization in it. This was all handheld with the kit lens and also steadied in post.
@GautamaARTS6 жыл бұрын
lo-five creative yup the rolling shutter its very bad.., i already try very steadier, slowly panning,tilt or handheld very" slow.., but the result its still cannot smooth as i use the dslr, as your video either, still event little but the vibration on footage still there, i can warp stabilizer but if every single footage i must warp its very painfull for me..huhuu.., is use lens with OSS make big deffrent do you think? Or i just sell itu and buy tje alternatif like panasonic g85 with IBIS? Ever you use it or khow? That M3/4 sensor...
@lo-fivecreative36056 жыл бұрын
Gautama ARTS I hear you. The A6500 has ISS that supposedly fixes this issue more or less. I haven't used that Panasonic cam before, but the GH5 is pretty fantastic if you can upgrade to that. I decided to buy a gimbal to fix the issue because my A6300 will be my B cam here in the future. It's a really nice camera, but that's one of its main drawbacks. I would honestly upgrade rather than double down, if I were you. The lens with steady shot does help, but they're so expensive you may as well upgrade the body to something with ISS. Just my opinion!
@GautamaARTS6 жыл бұрын
lo-five creative thank you for fast reply i appreciated.., yeah... all you said its true.., its very dificullt wanna have great all around camere in low bujet..huhu.., i dont have any bujet for upgrade gh5 anyway..hihii.., maybe for now i must be patient, improve my skill and maybe try buy the sony OSS lens first and try.., so i can create smooth, nice video like your..hehee., if still not..just find the other solution..hehe.., by the way thank once again for sharing bro :)
