I remember I had a coworker who was worried about paying the rent in Tijuana and he said his rent was around 120 to 180 a month around 2000 pesos. Either the commute to cross to the U.S was a lot of money or the pit stops to the strip clubs and Mexican casinos were an issue. As far as I'm concerned 120 to 180 a month is cheap. I'm not going to lie room mates sometimes have trouble paying rent due to buying stupid things or not working at all.
