That's bonkers! My brother lives in the Russian Hill (think that's what it's called?) area of San Francisco. I went to San Francisco for the 1st times in 2018 and 2019 to visit him. It was springtime and beautiful both times. Not a martian hell-scape like this!? 😲😨 Lots of fires here in Washington state, too. So far no big smoke or fires in my area, but don't know how much longer the luck will go. For now, blue skies and sun.

Couple of weeks ago it smelled like burning. But surprisingly when the sky was orange, smell was not as strong. Maybe our noses got used to it.
