There may have been a time period circa 1990 when KTVU used four news themes: the Mornings on 2 theme, its 10pm news theme, the 6pm news theme, and Brave New World. That may be an unmatched and unmatchable record.

The circling city names in the KGO open is how it's sister network Univision got it's current opens for both Entravision-owned stations and it's O&O's.

ICYMI: KRON Channel 4 was NBC until New Year's Day 2002, when it changed to an independent station. It is now the Bay Area affiliate of MyNetworkTV. KNTV Channel 11 was the ABC affiliate of San Jose until 2002, when it became the NBC affiliate of the Bay Area.

KNTV actually dropped ABC affiliation around 1999, and became an affiliate of the WB(KGO, meanwhile,began to be distributed on cable systems in the Monterey Bay Area, to provide those viewers with access to ABC programming.
