One great tip after another! The parking lot on Vallejo Street is brilliant, and I will have a go with the Adobe app. I already use Google Photos to edit, and glad you gave it the thumbs up!

Ooh, and then I realized I'd only seen the first half! Definitely going up Coit Tower and visiting North Beach next trip!

Such great memories of living in the City in the seventies! North beach has always been the soul and Cafe Triest is the heart!

Agreed! Caffe Trieste forever. If it was good enough for Francis Ford Coppola as a home to write "The Godfather" it's good enough for me.

I love North Beach. Spent hours with my boyfriend who lived there. We always went to Enrico's restaurant. It was alway the best people watching when it rained, for some reason. Cafe Trieste was across from where he lived. It was always interesting. The restaurants were great. A plus that he had two parking spaces so that was never a problem.

I lived a hefty two-block climb up Vallejo from Caffe Trieste and have $400 worth of parking fines to prove it. But I still love North Beach anyway! Thanks for watching Photowalks!

I grew up in North Beach in the 60-70s. The SF landmarks are the same but it ain’t the same place.

I like the feel of the video/film quality back in the days when your father was filming. It’s nostalgic. Although the video quality nowadays is so much sharper and clearer, it’s too modern and has no feeling - I don’t like modern technology.

Love this video. Makes me want to get the car and head to North Beach for dinner! I'm only 4 hours away.

I’ve got a great story for you, Jefferson. Around 73-74, my two roommates and I had just moved to the City and we were checking out North Beach. We were in the Savoy Tivoli on Grant and we poked our heads in a room in the restaurant that was totally filled with sand. I asked someone what was going and he said that it was a new show called ‘Beach Blanket Babylon’. I was clueless to the fact that it would grow to be such a success!
@PhotowalksTV2 жыл бұрын
That's great! I hear the Savoy-Tivoli is set to finally reopen again after a long absence. How cool is that? (I can't find evidence of this online, but was told this when I was doing the North Beach shoot!) Now wouldn't it be cool if Beach Blanket and Capp's Corner both came back too?
