For years, the Tenderloin has been a containment zone for San Francisco's vice. During the pandemic, it became the epicenter for the region's homeless and for rampant drug use and sales.
Has it gotten better?

This is a big lie, I work in the Tenderloin and it's the same if not worse. The homeless, addicts, mentally unstamble people are allowed to do drugs right on the street and police do nothing to help. There's tents right on the corner of the Tenderloin Police station and I see them shooting up drugs right in front the park they just showed in this clip, where kids play. They also smoke drugs in broad daylight out the streets not even trying to hide it. They filmed this after they did a sweep of homeless, they do sweeps of the tents and people than they do there filming. They need to get these people help not allow them to continue to live the way they do. At night it's the worst.

I have lived and worked in the Tenderloin as a service provider for the unhoused for the past two years. This video is an accurate representation of the neighborhood, especially in how it contrasts with how it was during the height of the pandemic. There are some who don’t want help, but they are the vocal minority. Most do want help and receive it happily when it’s offered, especially when the people offering the help view them as a human instead of as a problem to be solved.
