I am all for this kind of project. The Bay Area needs more 100% affordable housing projects. Low income earners deserve to live in the Bay Area just as much as high income earners do.

yep and i really want a beverly hill mansion.......but live in a way cheaper area code . there is no "affordable housing" in bay area unless it's covered by taxpayers

Why earn high when I can earn low and have someone else pay for my housing?

With the growing population, we need a high rise not a five to ten floors.

VTA leaders dont care about "essential workers" and "needing to live local". Their own bus drivers asked to live on property in trailers to avoid driving home to MERCED after driving the bus for 10 hours. VTA said NO.

The site enables infill housing, worse than suburban crawl for the environment.

Even if they build affordable housing, it still won't truly be affordable. Santa Clara County prosecutes homelessness and remains the most expensive county to live in. Imagine an apartment costing $4,000-half off still means $2,000, which most people simply can't afford. Even at 60% of market rates, it’s still out of reach for many. In contrast, Alameda County is a more affordable place to live, less harsh on crime and homelessness, and offers better healthcare options.
