San Juan Airport: Early-Morning Sorties & Emergency Landing!

Witness an eventful early morning at Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport! This video features taxiing, takeoffs, and landings of various aircraft, including some intense moments with F-15C Eagles from the 123d Fighter Squadron.
✈️ Early-morning shots capture a couple of airliners starting their day during the winter seasonal rush.
🚀 Watch as an F-15C Eagle experiences a dramatic issue during its takeoff roll. The nose landing gear tire falls apart, causing sparks to fly from both the landing gear and the engine exhaust due to debris ingestion. The aircraft later returns for an emergency landing on runway 8, which leads to the runway being closed for a couple of hours.
🛫 Another F-15C Eagle departs from runway 10 to replace the damaged aircraft and continue its Combat Air Patrol (CAP) mission in support of Operation Noble Eagle. The 123d Fighter Squadron was temporarily stationed in Puerto Rico to support Operation Noble Eagle and provide protection for the President of the United States during his holiday visit to St. Croix.

So, what was the cause of that emergency landing?

If you notice the 2nd F-15C pairs takeoff shot, the first F-15C's nose tire falls apart during its takeoff roll, with the remaining debris taking down the nose gear light and part of it being sucked into the engines. That's why sparks come out of the engines.
