San Juan Del Sur Nicaragua! One of our very favorite places we sailed. ~Life off the deep end Ep 24

Nicaragua was not on our bucket list. We heard that the check in process into the country can be a pain, and can be expensive. Also, is Nicaragua safe? Big thoughts especially as we sail with kids. But another cruiser told us that San Juan Del Sur was worth a stop and they did not steer us wrong. It remains one of our very favorite places in the world. If they had a marina, we might still be there. We also took a day trip to Grenada and visited the Masaya Volcano at night. It was all beautiful. We loved making this video to show you all the things to do in San Juan Del Sur! Hope you enjoy watching as much as we enjoyed visiting.

a correction, the proper name of the city is called Granada. not Grenada (Grenada is an island). 🙂👍Granada.

Thanks! Knew it was pronounced Grah-Nah-Da and not Grah-Nay-Da like the island, but didn’t realize it was spelled differently!
