Hi, SUPERGENKI and thank you for the lovely comment. 😆you are hilarious. No kayaking in this video.😲 On June 15, 1859, a company pig wandered into an American farmer, Lyman Cutlar’s vegetable patch looting for potatoes and he shot the offending swine. When British authorities threatened to arrest Cutlar and evict all his countrymen from the island as trespassers, a delegation sought American military protection. In 1872, Kaiser Wilhelm I of Germany awarded all the San Juan Islands to the United States, ending the Pig War and finally settling the boundary between Washington State and the new Canadian province of British Columbia. The "Pig War" is celebrated because it was ultimately resolved by negotiation and compromise instead of by guns and force, and there were “no casualties” except the “pig.” Please drop by again at 7pm(ET) every Thursday(US). 🙋♀🛶🤗

What an interesting history about pig war, but glad to know that it was resolved by negotiations and no human casualties. Both English and America Camp has a wonderful views but I think the views in America Camp is more amazing especially by the ocean. Thank you for this wonderful and historic tour.

Hi, Dac and thank you for the lovely comment. No kayaking in this video. 😲 On June 15, 1859, a company pig wandered into an American farmer, Lyman Cutlar’s vegetable patch looting for potatoes and he shot the offending swine. 🙋♀🛶🤗

Hi, MySUPRunnerOver and thank you for the lovely comment. No kayaking in this video. 😲 On June 15, 1859, a company pig wandered into an American farmer, Lyman Cutlar’s vegetable patch looting for potatoes and he shot the offending swine. 🙋♀🛶🤗I would love to have you at the premiere someday.😁

Thank you for sharing the interesting history of the Juan Island's Pig War. I have always been very interested in huts in the old days. They made modern life so materialized and far away from nature. Have fun guys!

I always see this from the islands here in British Columbia but haven't got the chance to visit the place itself. Thanks for taking us to this beautiful place. Lots of history and adventure opportunities. Your time lapse and narration are impressive!

What a cool adventure. I really love stuff like this. Building reproductions or restorations from the time period is always neat to see. Least I think so. Jessie loves history so I’m sure he would enjoy this too. Nice sharing. Oh and very cool that the tour guy was in costume. I always find that neat too.
