Hike and Explore at San Juan Island, Washington, May 2022

Hi friends! Join me for a day trip to San Juan Island, leaving from the Anacortes Ferry Terminal! I made the trip on May 19, 2022.
The Washington State car ferry has several sailings each day from Anacortes to Friday Harbor. It takes about 1 1/2 hours, and sometimes the ferry will stop at one of the other islands. At this time, it's advised to make a reservation online with Washington State Ferries DOT. The current price is $72.65 round trip for car and driver. Passengers are an additional fee.
During the day I hiked and explored at San Juan Island National Historic Park which is in two areas, the American Camp and the English Camp. These two areas of the park are quite different and show the various ecosystems on the Island. It's a great place to learn some history, enjoy the beaches, hike and bird watch.
